I didn’t actually pull the plug on Showtime because of Yellowjackets, but I was lobbying for this very thing. Going back to what the fans expect from the LWord - as did many other people. Amazing that they actually listened!!
@@lesliephillips3980 yeah I was planning to come back for yellowjackets, too. But I both left a message when I cancelled and called because they took down Work in Progress right after I started season 2. Sadly Work in Progress still isn't back up, but my local library has the DVDs.
This is a dream come true! It is so exciting to think about characters like Helena & Carmen come back to the LWord - and hopefully Bette, Tina, Alice & Shane! I can’t think of a more diverse community than NYC as a backdrop for the new series - so many possibilities! 😀😀😀
It had to be done because Marja ruined a wonderful show. Fans wanted Carmen to come back & she kept pushing Tess & Shane. Jamie who had zero chemistry with Kate. While Sarah & Kate were ❤️🔥 Bette & Tina’s wedding cut down to 11 mins was the last straw ! Tess on drunk & doing drugs.. as if Kit didn’t die from an OD 🤔 I’m excited for the reboot if it brings back the og cast. I’m slowly ok with the idea of a new cast. 😒 just Lesbians that are exclusively same sex attracted. 😌 Since it’s New York they have to have Mikaela Straus King Princess 🎸 on as a guest. Kehlani too, but as someone else because she was a guest on Gen Q as Ivy.
I stop watching it already.. Unstable relationship of the characters, heavy drama is just too much for someone just want a to watch a healthy relationship between characters.
Had they kept Gini together and then introduced Tasha for Alice in the end like they did, they'd have a season 4 for sure. But I'm glad it's done, they ruined the L Word for me. Hopefully this New York one will be much better.
Thanks God I love the L word but generation Q was so boring I'm generation Q and Lesbian and I didn't feel the connection with the show I was expecting so much more like the original the L word that speaks a lot different topics and stories that were so good but now was so bored with so many new L content in so many TV shows they should present something so much better
I’m glad to read your comment. I thought maybe I was being too harsh or was missing something . There were actually a few episodes that did not hold my attention at all, except to make me wonder what the whacky timeline was about (things were always off if you DID pay attention). Between that and the dropped storylines (like Gigi disappearing with no explanation) S3 was abysmal, imo.
Why not create something really new, but definitely in NYC. Capitalizing on a show's original title, can be so lame; like with the new QAF. They should have done NYC anyway, since Bette and Tina were left off, moving there, and Bette just opened a new gallery with Kelly Wentworth. It should have just been about Bette and Tina.
yes!! need something like the original L word. Not Generation Q. Make first season like a murder mystery. L word was fun and drama and creative. A little outlet. Also be nice to have a show about lesbians over 30 and 40. A very Lesbian focus.
Tess did not go with Shane... Shane gets the hot ladies... Lesbians go with lesbians & not once upon a time biological men... I have nothing against trans people... Shane just doesn't look right with a large build trans-woman... Shane looked good with Carmen... The L Word has ran off their original, old school, lesbian viewers... This just proves that there's not enough TQ+ people to keep the show going so I'd go back to primarily supporting the lesbians...
I like the old school L word are you still as a teenager graduated in 2017. I related to Shane McCutcheon not her being devious. Kind of lesbian I am dyke golden star. Shane what's my favorite character.
