Actually they're not. You're trying to put human emotion into a wild animal that simply does not think, or feel the same as a human. It is not a good thing to try to compare when there is no comparison. All you're doing is projecting your own feelings when you do this. This animal would have no problem tearing your heart out and ripping you to shreds.

    • @DarlyFofa
      @DarlyFofa 3 ปีที่แล้ว +17

In fact, they don't need us to give them anything other than respect. If only people would leave them alone to live in peace without poaching them or taking over their habitats, they would be good on their own.

This might sound crazy but I want to thank this channel for improving the lives of my domestic ducks. I was inspired by how happy the lions are on their enrichment walks and I thought, well, why not take the ducks on enrichment walks? If it worked with lions why wouldn't it work with more tame creatures?
Well, long story short, it did. It did work. My ducks are happier, healthier, and more content. So thank you, Lion Whisperer, from the myself and my quackers. 🦆

Treat your animals like a equal loving being with emotions and thoughts and you'll discover a whole new world of individuals with their personality. Keep learning them and you may start to be able to read them and communicate back. Probably easier with your dogs or cats than ducks .but they are people too so we are the weird ones who can't talk to them anymore. The rest of wildlife surely converse with each other so why can't we anymore?
Kevin is the perfect example. You can tell when his animals love him.back or get what he is trying to convey to them. Even the super skittish hyenas.....but Meg and some of the boys have real emotional/thoughts exchanges with Kevin and he answers back. It's all in the eyes (flow of emotions, like a baby would) the vocalization and mostly, body language. I've been studying as a hobby inter-species communication for the last years and experimentingwith any animal I come across daily.
and I'm overwhelmed by all I missed in my life and in my interactions with animals.
It's always been ther e but we ignored them and the possibility to communicate with them. Now they are often very shy and you have to become humble little living being too to get their trust (ravens, coons, skunks....)They do are individuals with the same emotions as ours, seen it, experienced it and even felt it, at the instinct/ intuition level not the cognitive level (surprisingly at first)
Do try it guys, all of you love Animals and respect them. Go to them with your heart and feelings for them, no words needed and you'll experience it too.
      Sorry ...very long monologue here....

Yeah, when you see footage like this, you realize how hard life is for the wild lions (albeit, natural) - they do look rough. Kevin's lions look like super models in comparison! :) You definitely can see what a good diet, keeping them from constant fighting and good loving care can do. Not knocking lions in their natural state - I know that's the goal, to have lions in the wild, it's just the difference is so apparent.

Fantastic footage as usual Kevin ! Tears in my eyes thinking about my past safari adventures, missing Africa, missing lions 🦁 Mala mala game reserve looks like very interesting to visit. On my agenda.

I cant stress enough how much I love animals and how much I appreciate them.
Lions are my favorite and they look SO majestic, they always inspire me to draw and paint. Cant get enough of nature and wildlife.
Thank you Kev' for heading out there and filming this for us, really loving all of these shots.
Great for using as reference :)!

I follow Mala Mala Reserve regularly on You Tube.
Recognize the face of one of the Gowrie males.
I've always thought of lions as special but it wasn't until following you, Kevin, that I came to love them so much more. I realize how tenuous their lives are even more.

That male leopard looks like he had a wonderfully big meal. That is a lot of wild lions, I hope they feed themselves as well as that male leopard. Thank you, Kevin and Cameron for a thought provoking beautiful 3 part series. 😍🦁🐆❤💯

I yawned three times watching this😂 not out of boredom of course. But those sleepy boys had me going.
I enjoyed seeing Kev on his “ field trip”
Wonder if his neck hurt from twisting and turning to take everything in.
That old boy leopard looked well fed. Bless all these creatures.

So beautiful, the way they are wild, there is something so extremely magical and precious about them
We have no right to hurt them in any shape or form just to gain pleasure, power or whatever
They are to be respected and valued
Not only they are part of nature, we are too, different but the same

Kevin's lions look so much different. But, then again, they don't have to struggle or fight for food or territory. Lion Heaven is where your lions are at, Kev. It's a shame the wild couldn't look like that and have the peace and tranquility your sanctuary has....

This was a beautiful video...the long distance shots looks like heaven to me. The Leopard looked pregnant, then I remembered you said it was about 12 yrs old. Beautiful cat to be sure. Same shot on one of the male lions, that was just insanely gorgeous!. Thank you for taking us along!
