Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful treasure. Being able to watch these and the commercials from the era is amazing I was born in 1982 and I love the 80s and early nineties thank you again.
My fantasy is to know how it feels to have money, and never again live in poverty.. but as it always does on fantasy Island, all fantasies end eventually, and you have to go back to the real world.. it's going to take hard work and a lot of sacrifices to get myself out of poverty!
@@Babybugex no, unfortunately. I had one about 5 years ago, till I blacked out at the wheel, and wrecked my car. I have not driven since. I have a cyst in my brain, and I think that caused my black out. I have other health issues as well. But, I'm a writer, and am working on my first book. I pray that God blesses the work of my hands, and my book is successful. Whenever I get money, I plan on helping my family, my son is struggling, as am I. My mom lives with me, is diabetic, and is in the first stages of dementia. I pray I come into money while she's still with us, so she can experience what it's like not to struggle. We've lived in poverty all our lives. I remember wearing clothes to school that came out of the dumpster. But, God is good. I've only gone hungry a few times in my life. Now, although we live in poverty, we always have food, our bills get paid, somehow, and we have heat.. albeit, it's kerosene, but heat nonetheless. I live in a trailer that's too old to have insurance, and the floors have holes in them. My husband fixes them, then another part gets weak. His job doesn't pay much, so escaping poverty is all up to me, and this book I'm writing.
Is it just my memory...? Or does anyone else remember *Mr. Roarke always wearing 100% white* ? Meaning a white tie with his white outfit. I find the black very new and very distracting but I don't believe in Mandela effects. Still! This is baffling to me!
Still looking for that Missy Gold cursed child episode. It was from a 90 minute episode but on the streaming version it only has 60 minutes and cut out the Missy Gold story entirely
Hi there, thanks for the upload. If this was recorded in Oct 1989 then it was in syndication. Any idea of the original air date. I think this ran from late 70s to about 83 or 84... Loved it as a kid!
As much as I luved these shows as a kid, man so far from reality now (and half of the guys in the casts being balding or rug wearing guys in their 50s in todays shows! Ha) but great commercial flashbacks when food was more real!
I would also like to know where I can get all of Seasons of Fantasy Island on DVD for Christmas and my Birthday. I also have a big crush on that very handsome man Ricardo Montabon
Thank you for sharing this video. If someone knows, where I could purchase Fantasy Island season 4 to 7, please let me know. I have checked in eBay, amazon and Walmart and it's not available there. Thanks in advance.
Glad you enjoyed! The commercials are one of the main reasons I posted it, so the viewer can relive the nostalgia of watching the whole program with the commercials still intact.
Remember the trouble going on behind the scenes. Tattoo thought he should get equal billing and equal pay with the main star. He was angry about it and got fired from the program from the fighting
@ Totally Vintage, do you know what season & episode this is? I'm trying to keep track of them, checking off the ones I've seen. Also, do you have season 1, 2, 3 & 4? I watched the Pilot, S 1 ep 8, S 2 ep 7 & S 4 ep 16. Thank you for the upload.
Yes, but this is taken from a rerun that includes commercials from 89. The whole point is not the episode but to experience what it was like to watch in 1989 with commercials and bumpers.
The commercials back then feel slower-paced then the constant overhyped action, exploding sounds, vibrant colors and "deep-meaning content" that most ads today have become. Ads were still idiotic hype and choke-full of nonsense back then too of course, but thrown at you in seemingly less sensational, more simplistic and naive ways. At least from the point of view of our frenzied and frenetic present.@@totallyvintage4814
Betty Owen school commercial lol. I wish life were that simple these days and I could just have a relaxing job!!

So many career options! The future will be amazing!

Red Buttons was a comedy legend.

I love this show but I am here for the commercials too 😂😂
You are right ▶️ commericals are important.
The bully in the sailor hat looks like Brutus on Popeye

Yes NEW YORK COMMERCIAL 😀😀😀
"Da plane! Da plane!"
Wow, WTEN ran commercials from trade schools from New York City!
I am betting that "apex" is no longer in business...
..that tool box tho. LOL!!
Love the commercials!!

I believe it was November 11, 1978.
Ran from 1977-1984
I thought tattoo looked a little young.

Coulda done WITHOUT the commercials but cheers for the upload! 👌🏻

We were forced to watch them the first time. Luckily with technology I don't have to watch them again 😅
Do You Have Any SOLID GOLD 87 / SOLID GOLD In Concert Episodes With Original Commercials
That would be the BEST
I don't know if I do or not, but if I find some I'll be sure to post.
Am I the only one that finds Tattoo really irritating?
Indeed, creepy little munchkin 🤣🤣🤣
I think he's cute. Seems politically incorrect now.
And you did not met him in person as I did. In person he sure was.
Remember the trouble going on behind the scenes. Tattoo thought he should get equal billing and equal pay with the main star. He was angry about it and got fired from the program from the fighting
👍👍👍👍
Any one tried the numbers in the adverts/commercials?

This is season 2, episode 8. It aired on November 11, 1978.
35:49 those guys got laid off 2 times in less than a hour….something js wrong.
Wrong year. The show's last season was 1984!
I bet you got some more content from WTEN-10.
I think this episode is really from 1979, not 1989.

These commercials are terrible. How can americans watch tv like this?
Ask us when you time travel back to the 80s.
Don't you mean 😏 then-independent station PIX11 (WPIX-TV 📺, The CW) in New York 🗽 City and not NEWS 📰🗞10 ABC (WTEN) in Albany, New York 🗽?
Well, please 🙏🏻 fix 🔧 this error ⚠️ immediately!
