After watching your videos I decided to go with the Haibo arise air for my first bfs! Put it on a 6'3 kastking kestral UL. Worked great with 1/16oz jig.
At first those brakes look daunting, but I think they will prove to be an asset. It will be interesting to see how it does with heavier lures and very light lures. Hopefully it will cope with both and suit lots of anglers. Great video once again.
This reel is very user friendly. You could just leave the internal rotor cup on 3 and never adjust it again and be fine with just the external dial for adjustments
@@THEREELTEST Same here, I got a torn bicep that is beyond fixing, I cast right and transfer to left so I can reel right. Just works best for me if I wanna fish...
Will never get why americans cast with right and reel in also right handed. If you would just reel in with left you would not need to switch the rod from hand to hand all the time. The reason why I switched to baitcast, more fishing, less work with the hands😂
I can do both but I can work the rod better with my right hand. Maybe he is the same. Unfortunately I can't use my left hand as well as my right. Especially if I'm using a walking bait.
What I learn after using dark wolf ultra for a year for at least 5 days a week. I feel like I should just get some actual brand instead , affordable models like curado bfs. My dark wolf ultra worm gear is shaved off and stuck yesterday and I couldn't find any replacement for it online. I loved using it as I don't need to be as careful as I would with a calcutta bfs, it's too bad I couldn't repair it as it turns into a use and throw away reel. Makes me not want to get another china reel.
@@THEREELTEST Not sure. It just gotten stuck yesterday during a fight with a fish. The pawl looks worn so I just assume it caught the sides of the worm gear. I've always clean my rod and reel everytime I'm done and do a full disassembly maintenance once a month since i fish almost daily.
Have you tried braid on any bfs reels I see a lot of people doing so and like it I’ve got some 10lb snipping braid it’s 4lb in diameter so should get lots of line on a shallow spool plus strong enough to hold about anything of size for a bfs set up lol if you tried any did you have any luck?
Is the reel a standard size Baitcast reel? Are is it smaller than regular size as it’s a bfs reel? Looks big maybe bc of the rod but just wondering if it only has a shallow spool and reg size lol
Hi, Is this the left hand or right hand version? I assume left hand means the handle is on the right of the reel and right hand means the handle is on the left of the reel.
Hey do you think the Ark Gravity and this reel is the same size in terms of physical size, since both reel is make by Haibo? Because this guys claim the Ark Gravity is not the size reel as the Haibo Arise Air. i told him that are same size reel, he kept on saying the Ark Gravity smaller in size, so what's your thought on this issue?
@@THEREELTEST I can deal with some of the looks of it, but the knobs are the one that’s my I would swap out. I would maybe put the Lew’s Winn knobs on it.
Hey RT, are you planning to test those 2.7-3gr ultralight spools for aldebaran anytime soon? I was not super impressed with avail spool compared to stock one already performing great maybe these new spools perform noticeably better or not worth it at all?
yeah, I just finally go around to buying some sand paper to grind down the spool shaft on the silver spool so it will fit properly. Now I just need to source some 1lb line
Good stuff, looks to me like a recommend toy to get on the shelf... And wait there till I get so far to go bfs... But... Seriously... When do we get to The LIMITBREAKER... It's "reelly" hard to take any word of anyone who casts right-handed then swaps hands to reel-in and not bright enough to use left-handed reels....... WTF. Back in the 70's and 80's yeah,it was hard to come by a left-handed casting reel, but today..... That's like wiping before you take a dump. Plus these off-brand garbage reels can stay on the shelf where they belong instead of wasting $ on them and having to replace them in short order. My old Shimano Citica 201b is still going strong 30 some years later and maybe 100,000+ casts casting everything from 1/32 to 3/4oz. for Panfish to Striper. You are not going to have any off-brand garbage last or do that for that long. Did have to replace the factory bushings/bearing this past month, but for $100-120 back then it's money well spent....
@@THEREELTEST i like your content, and i know that guy is being a bit of a smart ass, but your abusive responses to these people is pretty lame-ass. Just ignore them, unless you are dumb too 😂
Why are you and other people giving him hell for what hand he reels and casts with? Loads of people, myself included, cast with the right hand and then reel in with the same hand. It’s more comfortable and our brains are wired very very right side dominant. We can’t usually do anything with our left hand that requires precision or focus. What’s even stranger, is we normally use our spinning reels the correct way and hold the rod and cast with our right hand and reel in with our left hand. Also, most people don’t spend a lot of money on fishing reels, and even if you did it’s still going to be made in Taiwan or Korea, China etc. only by dropping $350 or more do you see reels made in Japan. BFS is a small category in bass fishing, many people don’t care to drop a ton of money on it, and if you can get a reel that performs as good or better than one three times higher and price then why not?
Im going to follow up with part 2 in a couple of days.
What rod are you using
I didn't wait for part 2. The casting looked so good I picked one up at ALI for $110.

Arise Elite is better to deal with heavier lures

the elite is based off the standard Arise frame and is made of metal. The spool is bigger and heavier too.
