The last words I ever heard my grandmother speak were when she went to the piano and sang the first stanza to this hymn. Thank you for blessing me with that memory.
Thank you for the great work on this grand hymn! Indeed, Great Is HIS Faithfulness, even though we deserve nothing save His wrath...BUT Jesus died for us, blessed be HIS NAME!
I am so very thankful for your selflessness. I listen to your playing while at work just to keep my heart/mind on 'higher thinking.' Great improvement on my work.
Arthur Dale Yep thanks very much King Arthur a fine sounding Organ with some good bass which does your Fishers the world of good, even better when you hear it in real life! ;o)
It often surprises congregations throughout the English-speaking world that this beautiful hymn-tune is not only American but also a product of our Midwest, which is better known as farmland and "the breadbasket of the country." It's delightful to see that William Runyan's most enduring work is so popular across the Pond!
Great playing Rob. Very very impressive. My lifetime aim is to play a grand organ with leg keys. I do not know when that will happen. Thanks for your music and I listen to Great Is Thy Faithfulness (this version) at least once a day and keep following your finger moves. The sound quality is too good and heavenly. Once again very nice of you to give us some great mesmerizing music.
Wonderful job!! This was a favorite hymn of my father's. What I really like is that you don't DRAG the hymn! (Congregations can drag hymns all by themselves!)
I came across this hymn in another video. When singing along with my friends, the sound of organs just filled my mind - it HAS to have organs. It feels so meant for it. Your video makes me very happy because I can listen to this hymn as I feel it is played best - with organs. God bless you and I hope you’re having a good weekend!
Very nice Rob.I play by ear and notice you played in 2 sharps. So far I play this song in other keys but will have to try the two sharps also.I frequently listen to the Southwark Cathedral playing this song as the congregation really sings well.
Oh how i do love the sound of the organ. Shame my church doesn't use ours. We have a pianist who is also an organist, but its out of tune. Plus we sing alot of hymns slightly faster than normal, we call it the Martyrs touch.
