Yeh another organist who plays it with a bit extra. I had a big mayoral service i was playing for and this was one of the hymns. being the young 'fool'(i was called this after the service by the choirmaster) that i am i decided to shine it up abit. There were glissandos(which mad my hands red-its a tracker organ) and keychanges. It was the best service id played for. :-) as always Brilliant!
Me and my soon to be wife have watched this so many times!! We have chosen this to be played at our wedding in July! Lovely big organ at the church so listening to this makes us even more excited about the big day! Fantastic playing and a beautiful sounding organ as well!
RobCharles1981 For some reason I am unable to post on TH-cam -- but can "piggyback" on others. I am from Los Angeles California and I just wanted you to know what a blessing your music has been to me. Thank you for sharing your gift of music with us.
Alas, my current church doesn't have an organ, and this song wasn't written or in the hymnbook when I was a child and went to a church with one so this is the first time I heard it on an organ. Wonderful and surprising to hear a more contemporary song. Thank you for posting.
Rob I have seen so many of your video's now , you seem at your most relaxed with this organ ..... you shine ! The latest video's don't cut this ! This is amazing . Keep going I love your music ! ;) Get a CD done !!!! ;) Brian
Simply amazing ! This is your masterpiece ! This has to be your first entry in the cd index I think ! ;) just back from travelling, this was still in my head !! ;)
Sorry Rob I was saying your church was in London but in fact it is in South Wales. Anyway where ever it is located in Oystermouth it has a magnificent sound and you do it great justice.
again another great video! Didnt think anything could top your previous rendition of shine jesus shine, but this has. Would u be able to play the tune "regent square" ?
i like the ATTACK And SPEED and overall SOLID-ness!! but jus curious...and can some people please kindly educated me , if this is manner of playing is ACCEPTABLE on the pipe organ?? because i tot it was more suitable on eg the electone.......tqvm but i still love this FAST and fighting spirited style of playing...dont get me wrong AMEN
ewok moses it was always played like this in my school. Everyone would clap after the first word of the each like of the chorus too. Like “shine *clapclap* Jesus shine, fill this land with your fathers glory, Blaze *clapclap* spirit blaze, set our hearts on fire, Flow *clapclap* river flow, Flood the nations with grace and mercy, Send *clapclap* forth your word, lord and let their be light!” It never failed to bring smiles to some, and entertainment to all!
Anythings possible on a pipe organ especially if you have an open minded church. We had the Dambusters March played for my grandma's funeral then I played Aces High, the Luftwaffe March for my grandads.
The rhythm is accurate and so the tune is singable. How about using part of the refrain as the intro starting from "flow river flow" as Kendrick's short bridge on its own is not really enough. Staccato pedals might make it sound slightly less heavy but a good rendition generally.
3:35 Sure did enjoy 10* effort Defo One of my favourite hyms Ever... I may have maid comments B4 on this cover Sorry My musika tastes R absolute y Vast I dood warn u..

Why not, if you are being led by the Holy Spirit?
ewok moses it was always played like this in my school. Everyone would clap after the first word of the each like of the chorus too. Like

Well played. Are you using 2 cameras now?
Hi! Would we be able to use this rendition for our church? You will be given proper attribution! Thanks. 😊
Sure go ahead!
Many thanks I'm pleased you enjoyed this one! :o)
Hello Rob, This is indeed incredible. How can I get sheet music for all these beautiful hymns?
Thanks, it's in a hymn book called "Mission Praise"
I like the pedals I don't know how to play them
Good to know thanks
No probs! :o)
This one isn't in our hymnal and I can't find it online for organ. Where did you get your score?
Mission Praise......
The rhythm is accurate and so the tune is singable. How about using part of the refrain as the intro starting from "flow river flow" as Kendrick's short bridge on its own is not really enough. Staccato pedals might make it sound slightly less heavy but a good rendition generally.
Are you using hymns old and new green book rob?
Nope - Mission Praise! :-)
Our closing hymn today
That's great!
One of my favorite hymns
hmmmmmmm interesting!!!! Wondered who flagged it as spam?????? My instincts tell me it originates from Scotland!!!!!
