Thank you for putting this up. So many changes here. Emergency buttons, cameras, and the troopers no longer stand outside for ten minutes on the street, and at the arch on the parade. All for Security. You can find old , 2 years ago, footage where even the chains weren't needed! A sign of out times....
Id noticed the cameras in the two boxes. When were the cameras installed in the arches?

This is the first time I've ever seen the panic buttons for the chitsman and the other guard. It's bittersweet. Good for security, but sad that it's necessary

I really wish people would understand that, although the horses are highly trained, they are still unpredictable animals. People shouldn't be crowding around them like that. Also, did they add emergency buttons to the places the guards stand under the arches?

Why stay so close up to this guardsman for so long, he was uncomfortable, he looked a little nervous, why film constantly like that . Unnecessary really as the tourists are enough for them all to put up with.
If you let a crowd of people near the guards and allow them to do almost anything, you will have nothing left but chains, alarm buttons and cameras. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to tighten up the rules for tourists. Or maybe it's deliberate, for financial gain. Depending on what's important to you... respect or money...

Why do they slap the horse when dismounting? Is it a signal to the horse?
The slap is to let the horse know they are dismounting so it can be ready for the weight change

Probably idiots too close. He is not a pretty picture but an armed soldier. He has to have a clear view of what is going on. He knows possibilities of danger. If you are out in the dark and see large glowing eyes by bush? Then a low growl. Laugh it off too?
Very probably a first timer, all the people and cameras would make anyone uncomfortable. He will get used to it in time.
