Good morning John. Several videos ago one of the horses was very busy looking left, right all around. I thought of him affectionately as Mr Nosey. I marvel that the hundreds of tourists who pet a horse's nose do not seem to realize that they are mere inches from a powerful mouth full of powerful teeth. It's amazing more people don't get bitten and hilarious to me when they do! From a cheeky old gal on the Outer Banks of North Carolina USA.❤

John, there should be notices posted in the yard telling people not to feed the horses. It only takes one person with malicious intent to cause a tragedy.
Agreed. Also, it's a always a bad idea trying to hand feed a horse. They can easily bite your fingers or hand in the process. I suspect some of these people have secretly put something salty or sweet on their hands to get the horse to lick. Feeding the horses should not be aloud. Too risky for both horses and people.

Around 7:00, one of the two ladies approaching the Chitsman turned to see what the commotion was to her left. So did the gentleman with the plaid coffee cup. At 8:14, the tourist thanked Chitsman for the picture and Chitsman acknowledged.
John, you are always respectful of the Chitsman, the Gatesman, the Boxmen and their mounts, the troopers and the MOD police in the yard. When you label some “tourons” as idiots, it is well deserved.

All can lead, have a Farrier work on them, they will all stand quietly for that, with no nipping, biting or leaning on the Farrier, and they will also all stand quietly tied up to be groomed away from their mothers. I’m not sure if they are Jewish but if they are they should definitely be more respectful considering the help being given during this terrible time over there. That may not be but still I applaud you for stepping up and telling them.

This horse is not trying to bite (although that may accidentally happen). He's clearly looking for treats. Notice how he goes straight for people's pockets and bags. I suspect he smells hidden sweets or fruit.

Wow you guys are having some cruddy weather in London. I was watching some of Buskas (I think lol brain of a goldfish these days)footage from the last day you missed, the Blues 2nd day……and it was rough, blowing a gale and raining😮 Normally I’m fairly “ahhh they’re big tough soldiers, they can handle it” but it just looked so cold, wet, windy and miserable I felt SO sorry for the poor lads, and ofc as usual when the conditions suck, the tourists were being particularly obtuse and painful. I’m pretty sure the Blues were glad to get back to barracks😂
Loved that little vignette of the little mountain of gear in the stable…..this many guys/girls and their gear plus horses gear is a not insubstantial amount of “stuff” and it’s a fairly big job to stash it all away…..I’m reminded of the swan…..the foot and mounted Guard are the swan, drifting gracefully over the lake…….and you never see below the water with the legs going like the clappers 😂or like troopers on stable duty, perhaps 😉🤣 Gotta say, that CoH has an impressive ‘tache does he not? Very “old school”😅
Bet they also cancelled the 4 o'clock Inspection, or held it in the stable area. The weather really was atrocious and I hate it when the wind destroys the audio.

The guard did not say yes to her giving food to the horse, I do hope it wasn't chocolate, there are many things, horses should not be fed, lets face it is easy for the horses to get poisoned. Nobody should be able to give food especially strangers. I would never, ever feed a horse without the owners permission. Really hope this beautiful horse is OK

Not a chance I’d let a stranger give a horse something! But like people ask can they pet one of our dogs or any other of the animals we have. Sadly you cannot allow it, but if you watch some of the other guards will comfort a horse with something from a pocket

The girl with the apple kept going up and trying to pet the horse yet kept pushing him away! Pretty thoughtless, he really wanted that apple and was trying to get to it! Then he got mobbed by that whole crowd of kids still looking for the apple! Poor horse! Not kind at all.😿

I think that tourists, especially in London fail to see a difference between a tourist attraction and a military function. Yes the military do APPEAR to put on a show, but it is steeped in history and has a real function. I think these guys have the patience of a saint sometimes and the horses even more so, good for the big guy nipping and biting. The sign does warn them.
At around 7:00 that horse that being a little nippy you found it was a brother or sister with same coloring shoes.

The part that would drive me crazy are the ones that touch the guards. They touch their leg or their boot. I just saw an older lady slide her hand under his coat. It wasn't the idea that she was doing something weird but thinking of the soldier I would be appalled. I love a good hug from anyone I know but if I don't know you it's hands off.

Hello from Argentina John. I'm a fan of your channel and of course Kings guards and horses. What I can't understand is why tourist are allowed to do as they want. Guards used to demand respect but now it seems as if they have to stand being mistreated. I can't imagine a Marine or Navy Seal been laughed at when fulfilling their military duties. And the horses ... it hurts so much to see what tourist can do to them, it's disgusting because they are also military and should be respected. Somebody should do something to protect those horses, they are not statues, they have feelings and get stressed. Sorry for the length of this msg. Chau.
