so the Blue Demon mode (BD) is the key to higher DPS for DB. From the damage differences there should probably be a 1.16x ~ 1.20x damage boost. Since the BD does not seem to speed up the motions, I think we can assume the peak DPS for each motion would simply be the 1.16x ~ 1.2x the numbers showed in the video? also there's the special evade attack in BD. Wonder how much DPS that would deal too
the 1st one takes ~2 more seconds to do, both are are the most effective options for their respective time windows EDIT: nvm i thought u were talking about blade dance options
Kinda curious to see how Df1, bd2, bd3 compares to Df1, bd2, df2, bd3, it's what i usually did when i didnt need the repositioning from DF2, because skipping BD1 is the best thing to do i feel with how slow it is but im not sure how worth it is to go for DF2 and not directly to BD3.
i mean DF2 is extremely fast and it gives you back stamina dual blades is all about maintaining stamina to stay in demon mode longer - if you aren't doing that, that's the highest priority otherwise you have to pay the 40 frame tax of entering demon mode again as well as waiting for stam to recovery in non-demon modes (modes which have inferior damage)
So BD1 -> BD2 -> BD 3 is optimal and SixFold is also nice damage to also build up the gauge. DF should mostly be used to reposition yourself and not for damage as it seems. Thanks for the showcase, really appriciate it as a DBs main
@@naota909 true i forgot about the stamina regain, but the whole weapon is very situational, you have many options to adapt your combo arround what the monster is doing. thanks for the quick answer. cheers.
@@Zamoxino because I need to guarantee either every hit hits the target or none of the hits hit the target for consistency otherwise the data is corrupted and useless
@@naota909 i looked at my vods in slowmo and actually i dont think that even matters here anyway... it seems like DBs dont have any hitlag at all in this game or it triggers on some ultra soft hitzones... in world hitlag was massive and it would for sure affect dps stats when it comes to tests like these. thats kinda crazy oh ye and kinda sad that u didnt test the blue mode dodge spins
Yeah but like he's said in the other vids, it's not enough to do PR into "charged" charged chop lmao. Better to have just do chop charged chop rising charged rinse and repeat. Beta is over though, these numbers are def changing
I saw a video of someone comparing dps for rising charged loop and the more standard lateral slash spinning reaper into charged chop and the more standard combo won by a lot, because of the powered up chop. Not sure Michael considered this in his SnS video, but I feel like he didn't.
I don't know about that when I cannot brain-dead spam DB demon dance now where sns get those sweet reaper slash and charge chop, feel weird to me that DB need to use more brain now lol
I wanna say doing the dfr,ss,drs was giving me 60% gauge. 20.8 dps for a gap closer that nearly fills your gauge isnt a big deal when blade dance is doing 50+ dps and has mobility to assist you in landing your combo. If I remember correctly you are also only really exposed during your blade dance 1 which gives you a safe period to decide if you can can blade dance 3. Additionally, if you're playing dual blades optimally im assuming you'll want to have constant uptime on the perfect evade ATTACK!!!!! Bruh even your evades deal damage and buff your dps. Lastly, you get a load of gauge from your wound attack so you dont even have to go for your lower dps moves a lot of the time in order to get gauge. Not sure what the numbers are on perfect evade, but dual blades seem to be eating well.
0:47 Df1, bd2, df2, bd3 was my bread and butter in the beta. Each part of it is really quick which let me dodge out of it safely, and the dps is great.
Considering how you go into a dodge from any of the break points of these combos, and that iFraming an attack is both a counter and a buff, I wonder if there's much reason to go for anything but the best DPS combos as your bread and butter.
stellar blade ost
was looking for it, thx

Blade Dance III is so swag
yup
I’ve noticed a slight trend of those type of moves in Wilds 😂
I love your choice of music
Are you planning to make a dps video for every weapon in the beta?
great video, can you make GS DPS?
Interesting that Archdemon Rush Chain is weaker vs Demon Rush Chain. Wonder if data on elemental MVs will change this once the full game releases.

EDIT: nvm i thought u were talking about blade dance options
isn't that always the case, maybe in rise archdemon was stronger but in world demon dance was always stronger but took longer to do
Keep in mind this is only raw damage. Elemental motion values may be different.
Elemental dmg in past games don't have MVs, and are just flat dmg
But I get what you're saying
switch axe?
Make sns dps showcase please

B1,2,3 is most optimal for 5s window
B1,DF1,B2,DF2,B3 is optimal for 7s window AND gives you back stamina on each DF

by not that much
