It speaks very well to his relationship and treatment of them that they are so relaxed, calm, and happy around him and loving his attention. Love to see it.
So much pleasure seeing the affection and interaction with the mules. I hope more videos on what mules need including socialization and contact with humans, and even mule rescue. I have heard mules need a very different saddle than a horse.
We have a lot of mules that would sit on the sofa and watch tv with their human if they could. I’m convinced several would raid the fridge worse than teenage boys after football practice.
Jumbo Jacks were crossed on thoroughbreds to get racing mules, crossed on the quarter horse for mules that could do ranch work & compete in cutting, reining, working cow & more qh disciplines. Bred horses like Friesian, Cleveland Bay & other carriage horse to do the same. My grandfather knew a guy that had a couple of Jumbo Jacks for mule breeding. He also did ponys
Also, in the very rare event that a Hinney could reproduce, she could be bred back to the breed of horse she was & would birth a horse. Same with a Jumbo Jack to get a donkey
Apparently you've never been around mules. You would be surprised how much different they are from either horses or donkeys. They do show their own similar traits.
Mammoth jack bred to quarter horse mare. Mammoth jack bred to Peruvian paso fino mare. Fox trotter mare. Tennessee walker mare. All great choices. From gaited animals to cow sensible workers❤
Sir you must abuse your mules ever day all day for them to be so deathly afraid of you! Why they seemed to be so fearful they were going to fall asleep right in your arms. You have my total respect because mules are fussier about who they trust and love than horses are and your mules love you to bits. They are beauties.

I guess it's about different crossings, not breeds.

I have to wonder how a small donkey breeds with a huge draft horse.
The mammoth Jack is used with draft and larger horses. A bit smaller than the female.
Oh Yes I Like Mules.
🟥🟨🟩
how much would they cost?
Depending on the age, skill, and a few other factors $5,000 would be a very low starting point. Mostly $10,000 and up.
Do you have any hennies or do y’all just breed mules?
No Hinnies. We buy our mules from auction.
@@neworleanscarriages oh ok, awesome!
It seems to me, that a hybrid of 2 species by definition cant comprise a breed.

Does the donkey stallion get a chair to stand on?
More like a booster ramp.
Can you show the donkeys you breed the horses with?
We don’t breed mules. Just buy them at auctions.
