This song brings me back to those days of cruising down Whittier Blvd, great music and a means to transport me back to younger, happier and easier days. Great Song!
Ohh yeah! All those Latino boys in their Impalas... Pinstripe suits, fedoras, two-toned shoes all primped up and looking fine! God, I miss those beautiful days. Who said new was good?
Someone from home, miss those days, my uncle and aunt took me cruising with them as a kid in the 60's. It was fun seeing all those hopped cars, waving at everyone. It was great in those days Miss the day's , and my Uncle Mike and Aunt Lily RIP.
I remember my dad brought this home and played it, I fell in love with it. it has such soul, feeling, it pulled you in to it's groove. Remember dancing with my girlfriend, we looked into each others eye. We did not have to say anything, we knew we were in love with each other. That what this song made us feel. So sad they don't make music like this anymore. Miss those days.
We are Pascua Yaqui who grew up in Watts, South Los Angeles in the late 80s. We listened to this glorious music everyday. Great cars. Good old Oldies. All those young Latino guys primped up and looking fine! We really need these times back.
This version is a lot better then The Intruders. Sometimes the cover it's a lot better than the original. The band was great Steve had an amazing voice. He was a pretty boy all right. Every girl's dream.

We had all the best things, ese. Best music. Best cars. Best movies. Best life. We actually played outside and had intelligent conversations with the buddies... No one was a slave to no fucking phone. Smoke cigarettes anywhere without some vegan bitch boi whining. Who wants to tell that elon musk guy to invent a time machine? We got some shit to clean up... About 2 decades of it!
The song also references The Intruders' "Cowboys To Girls", who were the ones who originally recorded "Together." Gladys Knight & The Pips also did a good job on this song but I have to give Tierra their "props" for the fine job they did with it as well.
