    I still cant get over that exact moment I popped out and saw the summit right over that ledge. That was such a cool feeling.

    Lol I almost wished you had rocked that bridge just to see the look on that couples face! What a beautiful hike. I really enjoyed this one.

      Cathy! Those poor older people would have killed me! I’m a big guy, my weight would have really got the swaying started 🤣

    Flume has one of my favorite summits. I mt. Liberty and flume last winter

      See I still need to tackle my liberty. It was so magical the day I went. I feel like on a truly clear day it would be even better!

    Loved seeing the clouds on the mountain tops. Really enjoyed the distance shots. Your videos just keep getting better and better.

      Oo that would be a great combo. Maybe I’ll snag it on a better weather day!

    Thank you so much I really needed to see that right now. Great video and very relaxing. I think NH will probably be my favorite part of my AT hike. For the beauty of it at least.

    Really great hike. Just would have thought there would be switch backs rather than ladders. I find the ladders build up the lactic acid more than a steep trail. We walked Koko Head on Oahu and the railway sleepers all the way up made you feel it for days later. Great hike Adam, thanks for sharing!!!

    • @AdamHoyt
      @AdamHoyt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chris Chris Chris. This is the New England! We spit on switch backs! Who needs em just hike straight up the mountain, incline be damned! Just add ladders! Or scramble right up the rocks! Haha

    I enjoyed this hike when I did it. Never realized it was an elective on the Terrifying 25 list.

    • @AdamHoyt
      @AdamHoyt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They have a tendency to do that haha. Must be why they are only electives! Lol

    Incredible views!! Wonder how much further difficulty it would add if done in winter 🤔. Obviously I would be choosing an easier trail for any 4ker.

    • @AdamHoyt
      @AdamHoyt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it might be a bit more difficult if those stairs and ladders are all slick!

  • @Bigpalmi
    @Bigpalmi 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Interesting this is in the terrifying. Never been on it but fluke slide is way way harder

    • @AdamHoyt
      @AdamHoyt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha yup it’s on the list! Can’t argue that flume slide would be more terrifying!

  • @michaelsimpson6745

    It’s the exposed ledge at the top that would terrify me.

    • @AdamHoyt
      @AdamHoyt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It literally blew me away at that moment. It was so freaking exhilarating haha. Definitely the scariest part for me!

  • @richconley376
    @richconley376 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The “ladders” are nice stairs. There is nothing terrifying about them. I was all ready for them and, while steep, are simple.

    • @AdamHoyt
      @AdamHoyt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would agree with you more stairs than ladders and definitely one of the easier "terrifying" things I have found on the elective list. Keep on hiking!

    What other routes would you recommend, excluding the flume slide? This one looked like a good option if you want to avoid the slide.

    • @AdamHoyt
      @AdamHoyt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think this is the recommended route that is easier compared to the flume slide. I personally found it not as interesting compared to other routes I’ve done and knew I would have preferred tackling the flume slide myself.

      @@AdamHoyt How is Liberty Spring trail as an out and back excluding the flume slide? Was considering either that or Osseo.

    • @AdamHoyt
      @AdamHoyt  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Pallandoii that is just a standard trail in the whites. Nothing especially hard about nice ridge walk over from Liberty to flume. I think less mileage than osseo but osseo is not bad either

    If you'd gone down Flume Slide, you could have gotten TWO T25 hikes for this... but going down Flume Slide is not usually advised. I loved coming up it, but going down it is a bit aggressive for me!

    • @AdamHoyt
      @AdamHoyt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      But more importantly if I just go back to it and hike it on its own.... I can squeeze TWO T25 videos out of one mountain hahahah lol. But in all seriousness the filming takes me so much time and effort on a hike I usually avoid filming any descents to save my own sanity and make it back in a reasonable time. It's the consequence of the way I document the hikes. So sometimes I secretly prefer the out and backs compared to the loop hikes haha. "Less" to film haha.

    • @hindsfeetonhighplaces
      @hindsfeetonhighplaces 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AdamHoyt I totally get that! I do a lot less of the place and backtracking on my films and more mounted hands-free camera work, so I end up with SO MUCH footage. But the first person perspective appeals to me and it does not slow me down as much.
