That Sheffield game completely changed things for them too that season, however it was already too late anyway. Their second half form was incredible, but not enough to fix their abysmal first half season of form.
They always say this team was just individual brilliance... but it looks more like individual mistakes constantly, chaos at any corner. All we needed was someone like Casemiro or Martinez in the team for some maturity and focus.
We were also in all comps up to that time and If we had sacrificed those cup tournaments early on we definitely could've done better. Our squad was stretched thin to that point

Yes because he took advantage of it which is what you gotta do

We were top of the Premier League at the half way point while City were 8th. Too bad we fell off while City ran away with the Premier League title. Yes Liverpool and Chelsea weren't at it but we could have done better than 2nd place like push City to the limit to win the Premier League title and won the Europa League title and that game we should have never took it to penalties. So many missed opportunities that season that lead to our season from hell the following campaign.

Defending was shocking which resulted to loads of goal utd conceded thus got them a couple draw and that followed along with them finishing 2nd. The attack was tremendous. Fred was the worst hold cdm I’d ever seen no joke… looked better a bit forward like central of the field
