Then, the conclusion is, the Holy Ghost has no convicting power over them. Does this mean the congregation, itself, needs to be revived. ? Or, are the ones who are unaffected, eternally unaffected? The power of The Holy Spirit is overwhelming, and complelling.
What happened to my comment? I said nothing wrong that should result in this removal. Anyway, I basically said the church needs this sermon, and the world needs it. I said that Spurgeon has a simple message, but one that cuts between you and sin. Maybe it was the "s" word or the fact that I said the world needs it. They're reaching deep into the church now with these actions. It's to be expected, but they are removing our ability to share the gospel here.. 🥺 I just found the cause.. They are being "hidden" and not shown as a reply, so no one knows it's there. :/
@@GraceAloneKJV Done a lot of listening to Spurgeon, Ryles, Murray and others. I don't know how to explain it here easily and quickly. I've not fallen in love with God. Therefore l don't have the Holy Spirit, therefore l don't have the commitment to God where as one leaves all their life behind and follow Christ. If you don't hate your family you cannot be my disciple.
@@onlytruthmatters777 A lot of Calvinist preachers put an emphasis on works. I would stay away, personally, based on my experiences. When I was listening to guys like MacArthur, Washer, Piper, etc. I was constantly focusing on my works-trusting in my works-because of their emphasis on works regarding salvation. They preach confusing message that states that we are saved by grace alone but says that you need to do works. It's utter confusion that produces legalism and torment. I personally recommend listening to Theocast; they are Reformed but don't hold to muddled works salvation preaching like a lot of those guys I mentioned do. God bless.
@@onlytruthmatters777 Jesus doesn't ask you to feel a deep love or remorse. Jesus askes you to go to Him with empty hands. Believe in Him and you are saved. Forgiveness is in reach for all of us, we often just don't realise how close it is. Because if we did, we certainly would have taken it. Don't wait until you fall in love with God as you say it. You are in a burning house, it is not just enough to recognize that your house is on fire, you have to get out, even if you like the heat. Because if you stay, you will die! Get out of your burning house en believe the gospel of Christ.

I'm at a loss why Saul of Tarsus prayed for three days but it took Ananias being sent by the Lord with instructions of what Saul was to do. Spurgeon missed the whole point of Isaiah 59:1-2. No sinner's prayer in the Bible.
@Tigerz8331 Where in the Bible does it say Saul of Tarsus prayed for three days? I read that Saul was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink (Acts 9:9). Of course Ananias was sent by God to instruct Saul what to do. You think Saul was going to do the work of the Lord without the Holy Spirit's guidance? Ananias was obedient to the Lord God and laid hands on Saul and he was filled with the Holy Ghost. Saul's name was changed to Paul and he went out the nations preaching Jesus Christ to the Gentiles.

Which Ananais did. Paul at that point did not have the Holy Spirit's guidance. Ananias was told by the Lord what he was to do. The Holy Spirit wasn't involved until Ananias laid his hands on Paul and relieved him of his blindness. The gospel is delivered in "earthen vessels" 2 Cor. 4:7.

GOD respects the prayer of a sinner: “And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.” Luke 18:13-14
God was speaking to Israel under the covenant of Moses. We are now under the New Covenant. Christ died for the sins of the whole world. Spurgeon did not believe that. He was a Calvinist.
He knew Jesus Christ died for the whole world. However, he also believed when Jesus said that “I chose you, you did not choose me” meaning GOD knows exactly who will be saved before they ever accept Him. Jesus died for the sin of the whole world knowing that only a few will believe and be saved. That is the wonderful love of GOD to us. That even though He knows most reject Him, He still died for all humanity.
