What's weird and what I love about NMS is I almost feel as invested in Sean and the guys at Hello Games as the game itself. In 2016 we have faceless juggernauts in the gaming industry like EA and you just take for granted that they're only trying to make money. With this game Sean has let his passion drive through so much, he's captivated an audience and reclaimed the industry for the community. I really hope this could be a turning point in developers recognising that the key to big success isn't flashy cinematic trailers with endless explosions, it's creating an imaginative idea and putting across in a personal and relatable way.

one of the reasons I want to get this game is maybe not the game itself but the dream. as a 39 year old, I've been playing games since Atari. he made a game that I always wanted but didn't know that I did until he made it.
IGN, please, get your freakin' audio right. Sean's mic is clipping and it's extremely annoying to listen to. Half of the time the audio in IGN's videos is bad.

Morphjom I live in the UK. You seriously don't know what your talking about if you think our government doesn't care about them.
As soon as they're here they ARE indeed given homes and full benefits. There's little incentive for them to learn to speak English as they wont be deported for it. All they really need to do is head down to the job centre once every fortnight and "sign on".
We've even housed a mass murderer in Oxford (I think) because he cried that he'd be killed if he was sent back.

I've played all the Great space games back to old Elite. Elite Dangerous really is the best you can currently get. I'm still enjoying it a year later. But I can understand about the hours!! Elite D and and witcher3 have taken over my time. When am I gonna get to Fallout4 and GTAV...it's tough being a gamer :)

I just like this guy so much! He is such a modest person. Its funny how he feels uncomfortable being told how talented he is and that he is a genius, he is trying to be so modest, and complimen his team. But in an other hand he obviously feels very flattered. That laugh is very natural, he is refreshing and fluid in the way he speeks. You can see that what he says isnt planned before. I cant have enough of his interviews... looking foward to try his game.

Why anyone would call this guy a genius before he's proved it (which now we know he didn't), is beyond me and there's nothing modest about Sean Murray at all.

You cannot fault this guy for being so proud of his aspiration that has literally come true.... within the confines of his generation, and all that it took was an idea and a few people who were on board with the vison. The game designed by this crew looks like a "game-changer" as far as procedural AI stuff is concerned. He comes across as having some really candid and exciting ideas.... the self deprecation mindset that Sean portrays, is ultimately the way that all people improve themselves. and If you can convey that ethos beyond other people, then you are getting somewhere....and thereafter become comfortable in doing that... then it actually becomes an inspirational and positive ethos. This game sounds like a milestone game to me.
Sean Murray is my hero!!! I've waited all my life for a space exploration game of this magnitude and it's finally becoming a reality thanks to him!!! Power To You Sean and your Team!!!
