Oh my gosh..my 2 favorite things...pears and dough bowls. During our move, 2 yrs. ago all my pears were lost..still upsets me, cause I had a basket full of them that I had collected over the years. I still have my dough bowl...love the candles made in them.
I'm so glad you loved the urn project!!! That was so sweet of you to let me know! I had someone say that it was "awful"...after I put all that work into it, so I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate you taking the time to let me know it was your favorite project! OH well....that's people for you, but I'm so thankful that there are BEAUTIFUL people out there like you, Lisa!!! XOXO Have a WONDERFUL weekend and thanks for watching!!!
Hi Robin...once the soy wax as melted away, there's nothing to keep the wicked going. To be on the safe side, however, Kari sprays her bowls with a fire retardant prep spray. Hope that helps answer any cares or concerns. Also as a disclaimer...all manufactures of candles say that a candle should never be left unattended. I mean...I'm sure people know that but I thought I should also include that as a precaution when using candles.
Thank you for sharing which project was your favorite, Margaret!!! I'm so glad you loved the flips!!! Thank you for watching and for taking the time to share! XOXO You have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!
I just LOVE how you paint stuff!!!! When you said - "Be sure you don't cover the whole thing;" I thought - "Yeah, that's hard for me!" I really LOVED what you did with the Pear Bowl, or Tray. NOT SURE WHAT YOU'D CALL IT, but my VERY FAVORITE would have to be the Drawers!!!! The IOD'S and the NUMBERS JUST MADE IT!!!! Thanks Kelly!!!!
If you haven't used your Annie Sloan paint in a while, flip the can over and let it sit for about half an hour before opening and then stir it. The urn came out great as all of your projects did!
Hi Laura! Thank you for that tip! I have never had a problem with Annie Sloan paint, as a matter of fact, it's my favorite paint...so, I was surprised that even after stirring it up...it still wasn't quite right! Love the tip! Thanks again and thank you for the compliment on the urn and the other projects!!! XOXO Have a GREAT weekend, Laura!!!
Also better after mixed to pour into a bowl or paper plate instead of using out of the can. That way no crusty mess on the cans or stuff that falls into them. Also keeps the contamination out of the cans
I just love these vids!! Thanks for doing all you do! Annie Sloan and “Timmy” Holtz...... love love love it, Kelly. God Bless you and your Mom and the entire group of thrifters/flippers/ flea market flyers!! 🤗🤗🤗

I like a satin or flat finish. I've been around for almost 70 years and what goes out comes back but for now, I agree with you! Too much gloss makes it look cheap. Thanks for sharing!
Vicki...you just brightened my day, too with this wonderful comment!!! I'm so glad you loved what I did in the video and I thank you for watching!!! You're AWESOME, Vicki!!! Have a BEAUTIFUL weekend!!! XOXO
Oh Kelly! I absolutely adore you! Your precise measuring skills on the numbers reminds me of me! 😂 I’ll extend my arm and “mark” how Long something is, then shove myself into the space to see if my arm measurement fits! I consider it an improvement over moving stuff then finding out NOPE! 😅 I love your new brushes, but old ones are like jeans, perfectly broke in and done shedding!! Fabulous projects again!
I adore you, too Kelli!!!! Yep...that's how we measure! (Fist bump!) HEE HEE I'm so glad that you enjoyed the projects!!! Hey, I really wanted to message you back on the last comment but I got soooo busy with everything. So, you're not working at your job anymore, huh??? You know what that means....more time for projects and thrifting!!! HEE HEE No, seriously...I truly believe when one door closes...another one...a BETTER one...will open!!! I've had this happen many times throughout my life....now I trust the process! I would be so comfortable at a job and then there would be a boss or something that was just unbearable and I thought...WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?!?!?! I couldn't understand it!!! I'm comfortable here...I make decent money...why?!?!? URgHhhh! It's God's way of pushing you out and in the direction, you were meant to go. In those instances...I would land another job and make WAY MORE money and it wasn't later that I would realize why it all happened. It was because God had something better in store for me and it was for me to make a better living than what I was settling for. I was so comfortable I would have NEVER left and never lived up to what I could potentially do or possibly have. You're going to be fine and God just has something better in store for you, Kelli!!! And, yes...I agree....freedom is a BEAUTIFUL thing!!! Hugs and High Fives!!! Have a BEAUTIFUL weekend, Kelli!!! XOXO

Just a suggestion…leave the IOD stamp on the plastic, condition the entire sheet at once, cut them out on the plastic and they are easier to manage when you add ink or paint.
Love the gray box with drawers, the white stamped flowers really make it. Saw your mom and Debbie at Salvation Army in Washington yesterday (3/22) but didn't see you.

Wow always wanted to try Annie Sloan but I must say I wasn’t impressed with that coverage. Think I’ll stick to my inexpensive Waverly. Great projects though.
Becky...Annie Sloan's paint is normally not like that....it was just a very weird can of paint. I kept stirring and stirring and it just didn't have the right consistency. I don't know what was up with that but normally Annie Sloan's paint covers in one coat and is not glazy like that. It was pretty surprising to me but I was already into the the project....so, I had to go with it. I still love Annie Sloan paint despite the issue I was having with this particular can.
Annie Sloan is always very thick everything settles to the bottom and you should always turn upside down for at least 30-60 minutes then stir well. Also a chip brush is not good for painting. Inexpensive Wooster 5.00 gives a great finish without the brush marks and less coats
Hey Kelly….I texted the lady from the shop that was closing down the day you posted that video. I listed the items that I was interested in but the owner never got back with me. Do you know if she’s gone now?

I got a few new flower pots. Do I have sand it first a little or can I paint straight over it? Love your creations!!
If you're using a chalk paint...no need to sand!!! Chalk paint goes on any surface without prepping it! The only thing you need to do though is to seal the outside of your pot with either a poly urethane, wax, or a clear coat. That way you won't have to worry about the finish getting damaged. Being like your mom can sometimes be a good thing. LOL
Is farmhouse style still popular in your area? I don’t find that it is in mine.
Might have help if you sanded the glaze off or used a de-glazer of some sort!
Won’t burning the candles in the wooden bowls burn/damage them once the wax & wicks melt down??
Hi ThatGirl Irish, I'm Kari Shafer who's candles she shared in thr video. Once the soy wax as melted away, there's nothing to keep the wicked going. However, to be on the safe side, I Spray my bowls with a fire retardant prep spray. Disclaimer time, just like any candle, you should never leave it unattended. 😊
To sell the bread bowl, would you sell it alone or price it with all the staging?

And, I'm really sorry to hear that you had trouble getting in touch with her!!! Like I said, I'm going to reach out to her and see what's going on.
I can send you some real moss it grows on everything here in South Georgia ,it's thick and full .😊
Why is that Annie Sloan paint so watery? Isnt chalk paint thicker? Something wasnt right.
Why didn't you do the taller flower longer instead of doing the numbers too .
Goodness girl, stir your paints well before use. It is frustrating to watch. Annie will be pulling her hair out lol!
Maybe shake the can real well before opening…
