The lumpiness and uneven edges would drive my OCD tendencies through the roof. Would it work to roll the clay out flat on some parchment, cut the edges to get a uniform shape, apply the stamp and then pick the whole thing up and glue to my crock? I love how these look and would love to try it.
Krickette....you most certain could do it that, but I would glue the paper clay piece on with Elmer's glue, since you're not smooshing it onto the surface. Also, you want to glue it on before it hardness because you are putting it on a curved surface. Hope that helps! XOXO
I think you should have done the gluing of the hang tags on the styrofoam tree first and wait for the sculpt hardener to become hard before putting it on top,
Hi Kim! Thank you for sharing what was your favorite project!!! Does it off? Maybe it's the wreath or the camera angle. I don't know. Anyway, I'll have to investigate into that! Thanks Again for taking the time to comment and for watching! XOXO
No way to pick a favorite!! I'm gonna make it easy. I want it all. I came across a crockery piece and trying to decide what to do to mine. I saw a lady use a lint roller when she works on stuff like crocks and jars. Put the lint roller up against the item you're working on and it doesn't move. I will go back and get her name so I'm sure I have it correctly. I'd want to give her credit. It's a great idea. You done so many beautiful things this week. Cant wait to see what else you do with the Christmas IOD stamps. Have a wonderful weekend!!! Just in case you don't have another video out in time, HAPPY THANKSGIVING 🍁🍁🍁 The lady that done the lint roller was Dedra from Our Upcycled Life.
OH, interesting! I have never heard of that! A lint roller...I'm going to have to try that! Thank you, Charlotte for saying that the things I did were beautiful this week! I really appreciate it! Sand paper no no no just rub your hand over the stamp a few times and you wont damage the stamp and it will condition them. Hope i dont sound rude but if you where my friend i would say it the same way lol. Love all your projects you dot thanks
Hi Becky....I've actually done this with all the stamps I've gotten from IOD. Actually, I think it was on one of the IOD videos that I saw them do this on. They called it conditioning the stamp. I've never had a problem with my stamps, but I do use a fine sandpaper. Maybe if you used coarse you'd run into a problem, but for me....I haven't had a problem with them. And, I don't think you were being rude....you were just looking out for me and I appreciate that! Thanks for sharing and for watching! XOXO
Peggy, you totally can do this!!! I have complete confidence in you!!! Don't be scared! You can do it!!! Thank you for the kind words and I hope your Thanksgiving was FABULOUS!!! XOXO
I love the new IOD stamps. I've seen other crafters ues the paper clay and a stamp to make unique applicays, but most flatten the clay onto a flat surface to get a better more even applicay. Yours turned out really pretty and you didn't have to use any glue. Love the hang tag tree too. It's such a unique piece !! You mentioned Myers. I looked online and cannot find any stores with that name. Does yours have an online order dept?
Hi June! It's been a little while since I made this particular video....so, if I mentioned ....Meijer's, than it would have to be Meijer's (it's like a grocery store and home goods store all in one.) Here's a link to it: www.meijer.com
Cyn, they are all going to be online, so anyone whoever wants to take them can! Yay! I'm excited, too for them! I think people will really enjoy them! Anyway, you have a WONDERFUL New Years!!! XOXO
Are you destroying that countertop? I was cutting hang tags while watching this AT my matching countertop not on it. Oh I have a bunch of the strainers. Watching now as I type. Will send my critique after.
"Are you destroying that countertop?" LOL Nope! Delaine, you are so funny! I love that you were cutting hang tags out and typing a comment...all while watching my video! You are definitely a multitasker! LOL
Do you spread the air dry clay out fairly thin? The last time I used it I got cracks when I used the crockery stamps on them, im wondering if i used too much clay.
Hi Jenn! Yes, you don't want to do a BIG clump. You want to make it on the thinner side, but do it thick enough that you still get a good imprint on there. Are you using Creative Paper Clay? I know another viewer awhile back had a problem with one of the cheaper paper clays she bought. I think she bought it at the dollar store. (I didn't even know they had paper clay at the dollar store! LOL) Anyway, the Creative brand is really the best to use! So, again...don't use a big amount...thin it out and I suggest the Creative Paper Clay. Hope that helps!
@@FLEAMARKETRESCUE I did get the Creative Paperclay off Amazon, and then i bought a package of IOD clay i havent tried yet.. I think maybe i just didnt get it thin enough. Not that I minded the cracks too much they did kind of make it look older, but Id rather it not crack lol Thanks for the reply!!
Quick question for you, I thought that the IOD stamps were for ink stamping are you saying that you can use them for eating stamping and impressions on clay or is that a different type of stamp? I'm kind of new to this whole thing
Hi Nicki! Most people use IOD stamps with ink, however, you can use them with clay, you can use them with paint and you can even use them on food (although, if you're going to stamp them on food..I would only use them for food). Here's a tutorial on using them with food. It's right from the IOD channel..... th-cam.com/video/lmCy6mRh0Nk/w-d-xo.html Hope that help! XOXO
Beautiful projects! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 May I suggest on minute 33.30 press the cone to make the holes before you stick on the metal base. And I think to glue the metal base to the candle holder with the epoxy better turn it off and wait till it hardens. Love from Spain 💃
Hi Laura! Thanks for the suggestion...that probably would have worked out better! I was pressed for time, though because I needed to finish the video up. I had thought the magic sculpt would have firmed up faster, but as you saw...it didn't. Oh well...in the end...it all worked out, so no worries! Thanks for the suggestions, though...you're absolutely right. Thanks for sharing and for watching, Laura! XOXO
Hi Kathy! I was there on Monday and she had about seven left, but I know that is a popular stamp. I just went on her website and it says that they are Out Of Stock. Here's where you can get it, though....I've ordered from this Etsy Seller and she's great. Here's a link: www.etsy.com/listing/1103869008/iod-decor-stamp-merry-and-bright-by-iron?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=christmas+iod+stamps&ref=sr_gallery-1-3&organic_search_click=1&frs=1&edd=1&pop=1
Hi Joanne! You know...I thought it was, but you're the third person who mentioned that....so, either it's off center a bit or it was the camera angle...I'm not sure! Even so...it's a quick fix! Anyway, thank you for watching! XOXO Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Stunning as expected from your DIY’s
AwHhhh....thank you, Candace! That was so sweet!!! I really appreciate that!!!
She o excited about your classes! Will the they be online or Michigan? I love IOD!
Ok...yea...then I would just put it on a little thinner and you should be fine, Jenn!
It's right from the IOD channel..... th-cam.com/video/lmCy6mRh0Nk/w-d-xo.html
Hope that help! XOXO
👏😊👍
Beautiful projects! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
May I suggest on minute 33.30 press the cone to make the holes before you stick on the metal base.
XOXO

All right dear, maybe can help anyone who tries your projects.
Thanks for sharing 👍🏼
Can't find Christmas stamps. Are they on back order?
Hi Kathy! I was there on Monday and she had about seven left, but I know that is a popular stamp. I just went on her website and it says that they are Out Of Stock. Here's where you can get it, though....I've ordered from this Etsy Seller and she's great. Here's a link: www.etsy.com/listing/1103869008/iod-decor-stamp-merry-and-bright-by-iron?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=christmas+iod+stamps&ref=sr_gallery-1-3&organic_search_click=1&frs=1&edd=1&pop=1
@@FLEAMARKETRESCUE Thank you so much. Just ordered.
i like everything but the tree, other than that nice job,
Nix to the deer head, otherwise some good projects.
Why didn't you center the wreath and deerhead?
Hi Joanne! You know...I thought it was, but you're the third person who mentioned that....so, either it's off center a bit or it was the camera angle...I'm not sure! Even so...it's a quick fix! Anyway, thank you for watching! XOXO Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
“Negative Nancy” 🤪
Why not form, then apply?
My thank you comment was removed again...Noticed that every time i mention God or Jesus my comments are removed...is the New order doing their job now? Trying to erase God from the picture? Well will see if i am right...I will contact you using Etsy...
You know...it was weird, because I saw your message in my email box that you commented on my video and when I went to respond....YOUR COMMENT WAS GONE! PoOf! Anyway, I read what you said and it was so sweet and heartwarming! Thank you so much and I was glad to help you!!!! Thank you and I hope you win! XOXO
Why didn't you make the tree without that stupid strainer. I do not see the value it brought. Just glue the cone to the base.
