    Hello, Your video is quite clear and I like the time you spent on showing how to disconnect the inlet and outlet hose. Only 1 remark, I think you should have removed the whole housing, unscrewing the 2 bolts on the right and left, in this way you would not have the problem of fuel falling in the engine bay, as you can open the torx screws to extract the filter outside of the engine bay. Good video anyway!

      Nice one for spotting that, I'll give that a go next year 👍 thanks mate

    Good video.
    The orange and white retaining features do not need to come off. You simply squeeze them together, and then pull the tube out in less than 10 seconds. I agree it is much easier to remove the entire filter casing. This is supported anyway from a pin on the bottom which keeps it in place.

    Thanks. Looks pretty straight forward for a fuel filter.

      It's easy mate. There's a comment on this video where someone had the suggestion of undoing the bolts to the whole cannister, save dripping and diesel in the engine bay 👍

    Are these fuel filters only for the diesel models?

      I think the petrol fuel filters are cannister type where you cahnge the whole thing, like some of the diesels

    When should I change my filters?

    • @marcus_motors_
      @marcus_motors_  ปีที่แล้ว

      Fuel filter is generally 2 years or 30,000 but for the sake of £16 and a fes screws, I do it yearly

      @@marcus_motors_ oh i bought my giulietta used almost 2 years ago and never changed it, will do it asap.
      What could happen if i forget to change it?

      That's just a recommendation, depends on the age of the car and what the history is like. Absolute worst case it will start getting clogged, lowering the pressure to the injectors and eventually running the engine lean. But that's absolutely worst-case, you should be fine! Let me know how you get on 👍I just do it yearly because its so cheap and peace of mind

    Don't put it back, contaminated fuel. Otherwise nice video since this is the same filter I've got. Thanks a bunch. Messy job.

      I did however follow the other Alfa guys advice and took the whole filter out before getting the top off and spilling gas all over my clean engine bay.

    the replacement was clearly not original, a real fake without performances.
    If u care of ur car, dont use such parts.
