In this video, I demonstrate the following: 1. What is a MIDI expression pedal? 2. How to connect an expression pedal to your computer with USB MIDI interface. 3. How to assign an expression pedal to synth and effects controls with the Modifier MIDI FX. 4. How to assign multiple controls with the Scripter MIDI FX plugin. Super helpful. I've been asking in forums about assigning modwheel to more than one parameter in Pigments without answers, shoulda known Logic would be the solution to that and a better way to work with my expression pedal. Thanks!
Another great video! I don't know if it's unique to my pedal (Gear EX-P) but I found that in order for the expression pedal automation to play back as recorded it was necessary to first return the pedal to zero.
I have the same expression pedal but this didn’t work for me, the mod wheel works but the expression pedal doesn’t. The cc data in the transport bar says zero
I was hoping you’d do a wah wah pedal. I just ordered the Roland EV 5 if you have any videos that show that process can you point me to it on your channel?
The process of hooking it up would be the same, plug it into a USB pedal interface as I used for this video. But because you're using it on an audio track for the guitar WAH pedal, you'll have to treat it like a controller assignment. The easiest way to do that is to use Automation Quick Access to assign it to the WAH pedal position. I explain that at the very end of this video here: th-cam.com/video/Cmw81HmFpgw/w-d-xo.html
