Hang tight, looks like we have a whoopsie on the blog page and it’s missing a few of the coffee tools! All items are directly linked in the description while we get it updated!
2:30 my parents love coffee so i got them this book for xmas, and an hour later my dad was walking through the house yelling "GRENADE SHAPED ICE CUBES?? WHERE DO YOU EVEN GET THOSE??" so i can confirm it's an EXCELLENT gift choice
The aeropress has absolutely changed my life. It's easy to carry and I can make some great coffee at work (work coffee tends to suck since it made in bulk). I always get questions and people wanting to try the coffee. Absolute game changer
I can't help but giggle at the idea of Ember adding a little bonus part to the details for that cup that mentions ' can be used as a blunt force weapon '
I just finished reading “Uncommon Grounds” (after like 2 years of coming back to it repeatedly) and it’s an amazing book. The depth of research and the extensive storytelling of where coffee came from and how it has really touched every aspect of modern society is incredible. Definitely something worth reading a few times!
My mom had an issue with flaking on the inside of her Ember mug (it was an early model). She emailed to determine if the problem was fixed in new versions because she loved it. They sent her a replacement free of charge
can confirm that cafiza is wonderful. I heard Morgan say to clean your thermos with it and so at the cafe I work at a sprinkled a little in and filled with hot water, left for a few minutes and all of the caked on stain fell right off without scrubbing. Magic
You know, as someone who doesn't drink coffee, and doesn't have any family members who would care if I got them coffee stuff, this has been most enjoyable.
Stumbled upon your page by accident and I am really happy I did.I love coffee and would love to learn as much as I can about it.Enjoy your videos and look foward to adding you to my daily watch.
Yes, It's a lot of work, I just started my channel and I'm amazed at how Morgan's video's are so awesome. Thank gosh I'm obsessed with everything coffee and tea so my little channel is entertaining me also at least
The moon raker is extremely expensive for what it is, there are exact Spirographic WDT alternatives that cost 50 bucks and look pretty nice for a 3D print.
Hey! I know, comment on a month old video, but I just found your channel and I'm enjoying back-watching (is that a word? lol). But I wanted to give you a heads up on the Ember stuff - got one for Christmas (early actually) and it's been nothing but trouble HOWEVER as I've learned, it's because I'm on Android. Apparently the app and everything is perfect on iPhones, but if I told you the ridiculous work-arounds I've had to use to make it work with my Samsung, there's no way you'd believe this was a $100+ piece of tech. But thanks for the great video, definitely adding some of these to my wish list!
Moonraker is just a rippoff of existing designs that were licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution license, but nowhere on the product details for the Moonraker do they credit any of those existing designs. I find this very irksome. To make it worse, the product page says that they're patenting the design.
19:53 It should be noted that using this device, will lower the brewing temperature of your water from the kettle to the grounds. The increased time and surface area of the water to the grinds, will allow the air to extract more heat from the water. You need to adjust your brewing temperature to accommodate it. e.g. If you brew at 205F normally, 210F might be 205F on the tail end of this device (this is just a guess). 29:34 These are must have items. They were nice, but I'll just come out and say it. Clean your sh*t. I see new mugs in my future.
Hi Morgan! I'm a fan of your videos all the way from India. I've noticed that an Indian company called Agaro has recently released an espresso machine priced at around $112. The reviews on this product are quite mixed, and most of the videos I've seen are either sponsored or lack the unbiased reporting that you consistently provide. I would greatly appreciate it if you could take a look at it and provide your unbiased review.
I've gone through 2 Hyper Chillers and was only able to really use it maybe 3 times I don't remember exactly. The first one broke after sticking it in the freezer after the 2nd or 3rd use. The replacement came in and it broke in the freezer before I got an actual use out of it. Absolute waste of money for me.
Where I can buy the glass cup. Double wall?? Really love all your drinkware , love to learn things with you. Thanks for all that great list of gifts for coffee lovers like me.
The Ember mugs are great for those of us with object permanence issues. Forgetting about your beverage for two hours and having it be cold is unreasonably disappointing
Literal legend. My brother is a barista, a brand lover and takes the love of coffee to a whole nother banana split flavored bean freezing level XD I love him, but he's hard to shop for
Cannot endorse Ember at all. They're horrifically unsustainable by deliberately not supporting battery replacement. My OG Ember thermos became a pile of e-waste because there is nowhere to purchase a replacement battery. Ember does not provide instructions to access the battery (it's very easy but not at all apparent how), and rather than offering a replacement battery for purchase they tell you to buy a new mug.
There's another water dispersion tool like the melodrip, but it sits on top of the cup/carafe and has an inner and outer ring. What is that one called? Is the melodrip generally considered to be better?
You might be thinking of the Drip Assist from Hario, that’s the closest thing I can think of. I haven’t used the tool more than a few times so I can’t speak to it being better or worse unfortunately
Morgan, funny, how you did not mention the most important component of “coffee things” - coffee. Funny how you can spend $350 + on silly coffee things, yet farmers (who bring you that most important “coffee things”) on receive 3-5 cents of any $1 spent on a cup of coffee. This is the “dirty little secret” of “coffee things”
Aww, too bad, the milk frother is unavailable. I have one myself and I love it! You reminded me how nice of a gift it would be. Awesome recommendations list! I'm crying over the price of the moonraker tho 🥲
Hang tight, looks like we have a whoopsie on the blog page and it’s missing a few of the coffee tools! All items are directly linked in the description while we get it updated!
Thanks so much :)
hi! i was just wondering, what are your pronouns? :)
Will you be doing an episode for tea enthusiasts? Or is that too much?
The way you say “coffee person” makes it feel like it’s some sort of cute pet who needs to be treated with a lot of care haha
Accurate description most of the time
people have tea pets. Maybe we should start a coffee pet tradition.
@@TheSwoon69 That's such a genius idea for a kickstarter or merch!
Yeah that’s us
I mean... Your not wrong
At 22:10 I most definitely meant to saw RDT and not WDT. Why the heck someone would need an atomizer for WDT is beyond me.
The aeropress has absolutely changed my life. It's easy to carry and I can make some great coffee at work (work coffee tends to suck since it made in bulk). I always get questions and people wanting to try the coffee. Absolute game changer
Aeropress also has a travel version that all fits together in it's own travel cup that has been amazing for camping and traveling
I can't help but giggle at the idea of Ember adding a little bonus part to the details for that cup that mentions ' can be used as a blunt force weapon '

i just love how morgan makes everything feels classy.
To add to your comment about how versatile cafiza is, it is also laundry safe.
Perfect for cleaning out the coffee stains from things like aprons.
As a coffee nerd, I would love some coffee for christmas lol
can confirm that cafiza is wonderful. I heard Morgan say to clean your thermos with it and so at the cafe I work at a sprinkled a little in and filled with hot water, left for a few minutes and all of the caked on stain fell right off without scrubbing. Magic
rememeber when I started out watching these videos started out as a short but now look at you Vente Congrats still enjoy this content.
I wasn't sold on the Ember thermos until you said that you could knock somebody's clock off with it. Now I want ten.
You know, as someone who doesn't drink coffee, and doesn't have any family members who would care if I got them coffee stuff, this has been most enjoyable.
Your videos are fantastic. They’ve completely recontextualized how I view drinking and preparing coffee.
I just love you and the approachable yet expert energy you bring to this topic. Thank you for what you do!

Thanks for book recommendation! I am 2/3 the way through Uncommon Grounds and what a fascinating read about a tiny coffee bean.
Yayyyy!!! The clock is back!!!
Perfect Saturday morning sitting down with a V60 to watch 💜
I bought the fellow carter move 12oz for myself and I use it for iced espresso drinks every day 10/10 love it
always informative, organized, and fun--thank you!
buy them a jar of instant coffee, they'll love it.
Love your hair!! great gift ideas. thanks
Anyone else notice the clock in the background? I had fun waiting to see if the minutes would jump around during edits.
The moon raker is extremely expensive for what it is, there are exact Spirographic WDT alternatives that cost 50 bucks and look pretty nice for a 3D print.
21:20 - Coffee equipment organiser? Great gift review!
I was thinking a "caddy"
Great video! Love the clock in the background. What is it??
Im neither a coffee enthusiast nor do I know any lol I just love ur vids Morgan!
Love your channel ❤❤❤❤such great information.. Advice.. And showcase cool gadgets for my coffee addiction. Keep up the great work
"In the vein of needles", great pun! 😂
Mugs. Gimme more mugs. Preferrably a double-walled one.
These are such great suggestions! Just as I was starting my Christmas list. ☺
That's a very nice list, a lot of the items you mentioned are on my wishlist.

i am about to move into my own 1 bdr apt in a yuppified neighborhood. the first thing that has to be established is my coffee setup.
Speaking on Weber Workshops equipment, how do you feel about their upcoming Bird Frenchpress? Additionally, do you prefer press or pour over?
Ah yes a gift from myself to me

Me contemplating drinking my day old coffee (Folgers) while watching this. Lol. I do like nice coffee but reality is coffee wakes me up. ☕️🥱
$350!? I think I could make essentially the same thing from some paper clips and a piece of florist foam lol.
...As someone new to the channel, now I wanna know why things go wrong when you have an Aeropress
You’ll have to seek out my apology video to understand, it was a whole debacle
It was a real make or break moment for this channel
It is now part of the lore if the channel

@@morgandrinkscoffee Thanks ❤️

Interesting. But: I miss a category personally: flatbed brewers, outside the old boring Kalita.

Those WDT tools cant cost more than $10 to produce insane the prices those cost.
“is not a cup just a container from which you drink” - socrates or someone, probably
The steam wand cleaner 😧
My wife is asking where I can get your clock in the background? ❤
It’s a clock face on a Google Nest Hub, unfortunately not a separate clock!
Look up Copal clocks if you want the real deal.
I'm hiding this video from my dad...
He's coffee mad.
I'm sorry but this clock in the background is highly distracting 😬 but other than that ... great video! 🤗
Hi! I don’t see a link for the frother.. am I missing it somehow?
Looks like there’s an error on the blog page, it’s being updated now! In the meantime, I’ve linked all items in the description directly!
Thank you so much Morgan!
Thank you so much Morgan!
What kind of clock is that on the counter?
i thinks its a google home screen?
Oh c’mon. Nobody mentioned 22:53 “In the vein of needles”???
I get why you say container, because a glass glass wouldn't roll of the tongue 🙈🙈
Why not mention (or show) the prices... I know there's no price on love, but still.. My boss thinks otherwise.
This.
I need to get some good Columbian coffee , or Tanzanian coffee ☕️.
Hello there

Ok. “Colorways” didn’t bug anyone else. I’ll just work on myself.
It's a real word, just fairly archaic.
Why no caribou coffee ever?
6th comment! How are you?❤
not me using this fort gift ideas to give myself
I am my own coffee person... xD
PROUD #coffeenerd
Sorry Morgan the piano background music is so distracting, please something quieter!!
All cups are containers, but not all containers are cups.

… clearly not paying attention to the second camera angle
Screw the coffee whats your skin routine 😂

Borderline unwatchable with headphones with how loud the background music is
