In about two hours of gameplay, by watching another youtube video about how to make money analyzing stratum and planets (i.e. exobiology), I made around 200 mil and could easily afford any ship (minus the fittings for the most expensive ships). Now I guess it's about acquiring engineering materials for upgraded parts. Then I'll be set.
@kevinwheels273 absolutely no worries! I’ll try to make some more guides on the game soon-ish. The game itself is incredibly satisfying, so the learning process is still a blast (for me at least)
You can look at the closest station that sells it by going to inara.cz, click on outfitting, type in imperial cutter, type your current system, and boom. There you have the closest stations that sell it. I hope this helps!
Yeah definitely help thanks, so it looks like I went to the right station but it still unavailable to buy because it's saying that I have to be a Duke rank or higher but I'm actually above Duke so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or I just need to max out my rank completely to be safe which I will be doing. Downside is the ship is on sale at the moment 10% off 😔
@tjyuy9685 Maybe try to level it up a tad bit more? I’m not sure what could be the case. If you have Imperial Duke you should be able to get it, that’s the only requirement.
@@xpeigh I found out what the problem was, Even though that I remember seeing it apparently I wasn't at Duke. Got it today however and after 2 years of trying to get the ship I finally got the ship that I've been wanting lol
Thank you for posting this. I was wondering how to get into Exobiology. I need a break from Exploration and I ain't cutting it in the Mercenary or Combat areas. :D So why do the courier/data transfer missions for 24 hours? Just to get some credits built up or something to get the scanners and equipment you need?
Data missions are for the imperial rank in your right panel in the status tab there is a badge that looks like a star under the reputation bar it will show your rank up progress The exobiology in the video looks like it was to get the imperial cutter
As said in the other comment in this thread, the data transfer missions were done solely for the rank required to get the imperial cutter, nothing else. 99% of the credits needed were achieved from exobiology runs. Sorry about the late response!!!!
I already have a fully engineered Cutter, but this is a really good, updated guide. The inclusion of exobiology is a win. Great job.
Thank you so much for the kind words!!

Exactly, exobiology is amazing at getting money quickly. I hope you can get those upgraded parts soon Commander!
@@xpeigh thank you and thanks for the advice about reputation missions. I didn't actually know I needed them. Still a noob ;)

Where can you buy it at? I'm past the Duke rank but I can't find the station that will sell it.

Commands are just slightly different on the PC.
As written in the other comment in this thread, they should be very similar. Sorry for replying so late!!!
