Thanks, yes Ive been meaning to go there and make a new video. Was there just after they were completed. Much better facilities than the old ones, pity about the river view
Been there in 2018 on #2, too. Glad to see that nothing has changed since then as we enjoyed the camp site a lot. We'll never forget the herd of ellies that paid us a visit one evening taking over the whole camp. Two of these impressive animals were feeding from the tree right above our bush camper, we could watch this from like one meter away through the "windows" of our rooftop tent. And yes, the lodge was a bit snobbish back then, too. They don't want you close to the regular guests...
I did my first ever self drive in September this year in that exact same area. I unfortunately didn’t find elephants as I so badly wanted to see them but I was also scared to drive into them as I was all alone 😅.
I would say Horseshoe Bend is the best Place to see Elephants in Namibia. How was it in the Camp. Iam not sure if it this camp where you allways welcome at the campside but not allowed to visit Bar Restaurant and Pool. Like a second class Guest
The campsites been moved. Not on the river anymore. Still great. Closer to the hippo pools.

I spent 7 months, 50 years ago at our army base, Bwabata. My experience was absolutely amazing.
50 years ago😮must have looked very different back then

Since this video theyve moved the campsites far away from the lodge into the bush. Very beautiful sites, but not next to the river anymore

Unlucky, there are so many. Or maybe I was the lucky one🤔 on two occasions I ran into elephant right in the road coming around a bush, scary moments
@@NickfrNamibia definitely a great experience. Thank you for continuing to share these with us.

That's the one... Mentioned it in my comments, but didn't make the final edit. I should put it in the description. But they can keep their lodge🤣
Nice documentary, if you can get a 4 K camera, is worth it.
Hi. Great channel. What year is your bakkie..?
its a 2000
Hi Nick, just for interest sake... What is Frank's fuel consumption (km/l) and did it improve since the engine rebuild?
Currently on 7.5km/l, slowly improving as the engine is settling. Im hoping for at least 8.5-9🤞🏼
Wanna see the Kwando with my people.
Yes really like the information given. Thanks so so much keep it up.
