- Hey, everyone!
This remix has a long story attached to it. I began remixing this track in March (2019), but was never satisfied with the result. I kept changing stuff, adding sections, removing other sections... until today! I'm so happy to have finally finished this, making it my most-worked-on remix. A year! That's a lotta time.
❖ What The Heck Is This ❖
This track plays during the night pool levels of the first game. These levels contain the number one nightmare of PvZ players: the f o g. Seriously, that thing is so annoying. Thankfully, the track this track is very, very good. Funny story, I didn't even remember this song existed before my PvZ Retro Mix, because of how much I hated the fog levels. When I heard this for the first time since then, my mind was blown away. I think this is one of the least known tracks of the PvZ franchise, which sucks! Because the track doesn't suck, unlike the levels. Have I expressed how much I hate fog levels, yet?
The original theme is very mysterious, mystic even, especially near the start. I consider that the beginning notes (the high-pitched piano) represent the unknown that's behind the fog, and the surprise of the first time the player experiences it. For that reason, I added a pluck instrument that makes the whole track a lot more mystic-sounding. Kinda like a dream. Apart from that, I went with a similar Tango/Noir style to the one that I used in Moongrains. I also used the Soprano Saxophone instead of my usual Alto Saxophone, due to the fact that it sounds more... well, intimate. I added some very upbeat sections, to symbolize the Zombie Waves, since, in my opinion, the original track lacks a good Wave part. These parts also contrast nicely with the remaining dreamy sections.
All in all, this is probably my most robust and intricate remix, and I am extremely satisfied with the final result!

I didn't know PVZ music was sooo goooooood! This misic has rhythm and grace at the same time, that's new for me, and I love it!
Honestly I had almost completely forgotten the fog levels existed- probably the most underrated and overlooked content in the game
I mean, the fog level to me tbh was like... the most creepy-vibing to me, it was eerie and freaky to me, bugged me a lot u couldnt see which lane the zombies were coming from.
I hate the fog
Honestly, I think that the fog levels had the best gimmick, but were ultimately bogged down by some of the enemies, and the fact that you had to mostly use weaker plants.
I had repressed those terrifying levels as a kid
I mostly remember my brain thinking they were "frog" levels when I was like, -2 years old

I’ve played PvZ for a long time, was paying it because my sister did, and absolutely loved it to death, or should I say Un-dead. But anyways, it’s cool to hear it in a new code of paint, most remixes feel to different from the original imo but these feels like the original with a new spice! Hope to hear more from you.

the fog levels were probably the most stressful levels for me only being 8 and not having ANY concept of strategy. just knowing there was a chance id NEVER see what was abt to clap my cheeks was just HORRIFYing. and the music, holy fuck the music had a perfect mix of mystery and genuine fear

Also, the genre that you used on "Moongrains" in spanish is called "salsa" (well, I think that).
The final remix sure will be grasswalk, and also you have in your channel a "Cerebrawl" remix. Yeah, a old remix, but it's here.
