- Hiya! This has been my most requested remix in months. Sorry it has taken so long, I've been working on it for around four months, now. I wanted to make sure it had the best quality possible before bringing it to you guys, and it was quite the tricky one to cover!
❖ What The Heck Is This ❖
This track plays during the final boss battle, against Dr. Zomboss. It's the only level set during the night and on the roof, making it extra unique. It's a fast-paced theme, when compared to the rest of the game's soundtrack (except for Loonboon, which is the fastest-paced) and perfectly fits the final boss situation.
My intention with this remix was to bring back some of that sweet bass I used in Watery Graves, but on steroids. I focused a LOT on the basslines, making them satisfying, clean and super energetic. As such, I used bass techniques from multiple genres: classical jazz, blues, rock'n'roll, pop and others. IT NOW SOUNDS NOTHING LIKE RUDE BUSTER GUYS! The rest of the track was built around all these basslines; some original instruments were replaced by new samples which made more sense with the remix, others were kept.
As always, with PvZ remixes, I inserted some game sound-effects into the track. This time, though, I tried to make them fit the beat and created a bit of a rhythm with them. This can be seen with the Robot Hydraulics sound, throughout the track, but, mostly, with the bucket-head hit sound, which creates the percussion line twice in the remix. All other SFX were, as per usual, mixed to fit the rhythm and tempo of the remix.
I've got two favorite parts on this track, back to back! Firstly, 2:24. This part has a bassline I've used a LOT in my remixes; Driftveil City and Azalea Town, for example. This time, I used it for a variation of a classic Brainiac Maniac section. The biggest change comes from the bassline, and it's that G7 chord in the middle of the cadence. It's just so perfect with the melody. My second favorite part comes right after, being the chorus variation. The chord progression and general rhythm is heavily inspired by the chorus of "Charm", by Moe Shop, my favorite song of theirs. It added so much to the track and I was very pleased when I realized the original melody fit with the chord progression.

The Sound Effects used as an instrument is genius. The Buckethead "metallic bang" sound and the Zombot Steps as drop especially, I wasn't expecting it.
Exceptional, without a doubt my favorite version of Brainiac Maniac.
I listen to this every time I go hiking. The beat is just phenomenal and it helps motivate me to get to the next hill and push on. Tiring, yes, but after two months I have managed to sync my footsteps to the beat. A banger as always.

@@seiinity Golden Wind is the fifth arc from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, it was a reference to Giorno Giovanna's theme from the anime because the background notes (1:52) almost sounded like the piano solo (th-cam.com/video/tLyRpGKWXRs/w-d-xo.html) from the theme.

I’ve listened to many other remixes of songs like this, but never had I heard any of them use sound effects from the game in a way that both adds to the remix, making it unique and without overdoing it. Can’t wait to hear more from you!

Adding in-game sound effects to a video game's remix of a song is the best move. It helps it stay true to the origins of the music, in my opinion. The ending was my favorite, when you collect the trophy for beating him. It transitioned so smoothly at the end

I really like the details, even if it's just the song, you can picture what's happening in the back, bucket heads/zombot getting damaged, jalapeno and ice shrooms, YEEHAWWW, the zombot cough/moving, etc, overall a beautiful piece. (Oh and the achievement sound you get after defeating zomboss)
This is beautiful. It gave me memories of when I was a kid and beat Zomboss for the first time. First time I ever felt accomplished in life. Excellent remix.
