Suit up for classic comedy! Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) take a chance on going freelance, de-haunting houses in a new ghost removal service. As soon as they open their doors, their first order of business becomes saving beautiful cellist Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver) and nerdy Louis Tully (Rick Moranis), who’ve inadvertently opened the gates of hell… right in their own apartment building!
Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), (Egon Spengler) Harold Ramis, and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) take up their proton packs once more to battle the forces of evil in Manhattan! After waging a war on slime that cost New York City millions, the Ghostbusters find themselves out of business until an ancient tyrant, preparing a return to the Earthly domain through his portrait at the Manhattan Museum of Modern Art, sets his sights on Dana Barrett's baby as the new home for his wicked soul! With the help of the Museum's possessed curator, he plans to turn New York into a really scary place to live! Now only the Ghostbusters can save New York City, by turning paranormal pest control into an art form!

Fun Fact: Dan Aykroyd wanted John Belushi to play Peter Venkman, and would have given John great lines for the film, but sadly John passed away while the film was being written, so Dan rewrote the part for Bill Murray and the rest, as they say, is history.

Even in the animation he was the ghostbuster who had a friend a slimer. Good shit in the days.
Animated Venkman has some good lines too. he's especially good in the episode with Cthulu and the Star Trek Parody, the hollywood one, the one with the eiffel tower, and any time he's hitting on some woman he has some good banter with Slimer and with Janine too.

Billy-mangey McMange "Murray" is the 2nd reason to why I watch, and love the entire Ghostbusters-franchise. Such a great childhood-memory and still is nowaday... First reason is, because of the ghoststories. :)

Bill Murray single-handedly carried the comedy in the films. The "Han Solo" of the Ghostbusters. Doesn't really believe in the ghosts. Doesn't really believe in himself. Is almost laughing at how ridiculous the whole thing is.
Classic movie by some of the best comic of that time. The remake with the women was a complete bust. No pun intended.
