Your videos are awesome. I’m new to the hobby and just started collecting the 2024 Topps chrome baseball set. I love seein you rip packs and that PSA video you made was super helpful when it comes to grading cards!
Regarding that Julio card…those sleeves are a real problem. I had a gold sapphire Gunnar RC in a PSA 9. PSA put a sleeve in there that had streaks / scratches / lint.
Holy 9er!!! I submit a lot and no more than 29 cards per order. But every once in awhile I'll get someone in a bad mood so thats why i only do smaller orders! Lately I have noticed cards coming back that were mint when I sent them but come back as an 8.
My brother and I sent in our first submission like 3 months ago and it’s starting grading today, hopefully I get a more laid back grader than you did because my black Reese auto is the exact same centering
Stryker thanks for sharing your grades and insight. Question: IYO, When is the cutoff to send baseball to PSA as were at the end of the season. Love the channel! Thanks.
I use PSA too. The resale is the best by far. But they are so incredibly inconsistent. They’re my favorite and I won’t switch unless some other company becomes more valuable for resale, but they drive me nuts.
I have sent 6 cards two different orders and 3 have been 10s. 3 jeters draft picks. 2 base the other gold.. Gold was a 9 and 1 of base a 10 the other a 9. Also a Jeter rookie came back a 10 And elly HFA got a 10. So far been really happy with the grades. The other was a 9 Mariano revera rookie.
Awesome stuff Stryker I love the heritage autos those are sick and I just got my first upcharge on a Ohtani ssp that I got out of one of those Mega Mystery boxes 😀👍🏼
Thanks Stryker for the video, loved it. I’m about to submit my first batch of cards to PSA and I need some advice. How do you handle slightly curved cards. I’m pretty new to the hobby and noticed Topps Chrome cards often have curve. Does PSA ding you for that? If so, do you have tipps to fix it? Thanks in advance.
bit.ly/3SzYhm9 Use Code:STRYKER25 As far as I know the chrome cards that are slightly bent are not dinged because they come like that from the factory. Check out my other PSA videos about how to improve your Gem rate.
Get in the habit of taking pics front and back. Toss in a folder, no issues upon return, delete and repeat the process. Takes extra time, but always worth the piece of mind while an order is out.
Im just starting to collect cards for the first time since early 2000. Im not a fan of the state of the hobby. I bought baseball football and basketball. I use too only collect basketball and comic cards. Im more pulled to baseball now for some reason but things are so high and its hard getting certain players. I decided to just go after the players i like and buy them individually. I gave a lot of the cards i buy to kids and schools kids can't even enjoy them now because of the state of collecting now. Im just going to go after elly Griffin for baseball and Aaron Donald and suh in football.
just opened my first topps chrome value and monster box, the best i got was prism shohei and elly, and a refractor judge, im not tight on cash so i want an honest opinion of what i should do with the cards, the shohei looks good but the elly could have some print lines im not sure because its a prism.
I’ve been buying cards I really wanted in a 9 for the exact reason ya said it’s already graded My question is how to buy sell say Scg 10 does it comp between psa 10 and 9 ?
Do you know about psa's new grading fees I was watching Sports Card Investors video about it the other day and they have the keep the pop down on the 10s the reason why a lot of people getting 9s
I know it is always a debate but now that PSA owns SGC, does that increase the value of SGC slabs going forward? I prefer SGC (even for re-selling) because of the cost and quicker turnaround times.
Just getting back into collecting so someone can correct me if I am wrong but I know it to stand for “population,” meaning how many of a specific grade of a specific card exist. So, when one of Stryker’s said “pop 6.,” it means that six PSA 9s or 10s (whichever it was) exist. You ideally want high grades and low pops.
o NOT ever send any card to any grading company without getting photos or even a video of you doing your own grading session of each card. That way when PSA sends back a graded card that is not yours, you can contact them. I'm thinking some PSA graders keep boxes of their own not quite perfect cards under the table and when you send your perfect card, they simply switch it out for their not so perfect card.
damn man, I didn't even think about the fact that the cards could get damaged on the way to them or in their possession, or on the way back, lol, and there's nothing you can do about it, sucks! Do you find that refractors or even chromes grade easier than paper base at all? Or no real significant difference? Sorry if that's a dumb question, just getting back into the hobby after a 20-year hiatus. That's crazy you have your own baseball card and even crazier you can't get it GEM'd lol
How much would a box of random packs be? My brother is autistic and loves watching your videos of you opening up cards and I'd love to buy him some from you!
While I like PSA more than other company, I think they would benefit from subgrades like Beckett but under the current PSA grading system of whole numbers. PSA is just too subjective and vague. Hopefully your grader is getting laid and it's not a Friday or you might be getting a bunch of is and 9s. There's a random TH-cam wormhole I went down on a company that tries to upgrade Pokémon cards through polishing, pressing etc. And when they break Beckett slabs, they generally see increases in the subgrade that correlate to the work they do. Oh, and I couldn't give a damn about Pokemon.
Bro just put the slabs upside down and you can flip on 3 so we can all see together, you got way too much going on with the card boards after every slab lol
I think it's for insurance purposes because when you submit under the allowed threshold of the max value of the card it has to be insured against loss and damage. If it's worth than you claim then you have to pay more to insure it.
Very nice reveal!
just wait until trey cabbage joins ohtani going 50/50 next year
That Bedard Psa 10 young guns is huge. Nice psa reveal
Vladdy auto for the win! Great 2nd half, 2 more HR put him at 30. Image is awesome on that.
I mean of course you have to put yourself on the stage. You should have signed it! I have the one you signed for me! Love it!
I have 2 of those Ohtani refractors, pulled back in 18'. Sweet reveal sir.
Your videos are awesome. I’m new to the hobby and just started collecting the 2024 Topps chrome baseball set. I love seein you rip packs and that PSA video you made was super helpful when it comes to grading cards!
Adding the POP of some of the cards was a perfect addition to this video
what does pop mean
Ha. Welcome to my world. EVERY super tough pull, low serial number, and esp. if auto... comes out of the pack with issues or outright damaged.
The grading was tough this time around, but that ohtani was my favorite
Your a gem to me buddy!! Best breaker in the biz. Love the new 23’ personal cards! Thanks for revealing
Regarding that Julio card…those sleeves are a real problem. I had a gold sapphire Gunnar RC in a PSA 9. PSA put a sleeve in there that had streaks / scratches / lint.
Same issue here
Love the slabs Stryker! Was happy to see some David Hamilton love
Awesome. These are my favorite videos of yours.
Love that Bobby auto!!!
I pulled a bobby witt black gold, was one of my first PSA submissions, it got a 10, thanks for making me feel good about grading it!
❤ the reveal. Sweet Gems in that submission 🔥
Love the reveal! Awesome cards!
Holy 9er!!! I submit a lot and no more than 29 cards per order. But every once in awhile I'll get someone in a bad mood so thats why i only do smaller orders! Lately I have noticed cards coming back that were mint when I sent them but come back as an 8.
Nice reveal! Any Ohtani is highly collectable. Maybe his pitching cards become more rare in the future....
It is amazing to me how much of a price drop it is from a 10 to a 9.
I just sent a Bobby Image Variation for grading, hoping I have the same luck as you did on yours!
Awesome!
My brother and I sent in our first submission like 3 months ago and it’s starting grading today, hopefully I get a more laid back grader than you did because my black Reese auto is the exact same centering
That JRod heritage auto is insane 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Lately my PSA submissions have been tough. Just sent in 55 cards. Lots of autos. Not a single auto got a 10. 40% gem rate
Awesome sub! Congrats. Love those real ones. Great soto too
The vladdy junior did a 10 good job man.nice
Enjoy the content! Can you share what acrylic card stands you are using here?
Stryker thanks for sharing your grades and insight. Question: IYO, When is the cutoff to send baseball to PSA as were at the end of the season. Love the channel! Thanks.

You know it's a tough reveal when stryker psa 9 is on the stage!!!
I would love to see a price next to them. I try to guess but I have no idea 🤷♂️
Love these videos🔥🔥🔥
A bit of a mixed bag but some real bangers congrats
I have sent 6 cards two different orders and 3 have been 10s. 3 jeters draft picks. 2 base the other gold.. Gold was a 9 and 1 of base a 10 the other a 9. Also a Jeter rookie came back a 10 And elly HFA got a 10. So far been really happy with the grades. The other was a 9 Mariano revera rookie.
Those heritage are super tough to grade well.
Nice reveal!
Awesome stuff Stryker I love the heritage autos those are sick and I just got my first upcharge on a Ohtani ssp that I got out of one of those Mega Mystery boxes 😀👍🏼
I’ll get caught up later Stryker
The Flaherty auto is a bit thin on top
Thanks Stryker for the video, loved it. I’m about to submit my first batch of cards to PSA and I need some advice. How do you handle slightly curved cards. I ALWAYS include the serial number on the submission form and print a copy. Check Julio if you know the number.

My last order was 89% gem rate on 60 cards
Hoffman is the goat of closers that were on a team in California haha. Mo Rivera is the 🐐 no question
Man, looks like you got a tough grader at PSA this time. Awesome cards and super content though!
That heliot Ramos was nice.. What's the price.. Asking for a friend
Do you recommend not grading the auto as well even if it looks super clean?
Does PSA ever have sales?
I notice you didn’t get the autos graded. Is there a reason for that?
👍 Nice!
Can't wait for more 9's to start hitting the market as a collector 😂I'll be in the market for a good number of Chourio 9's this offseason.
I know it is always a debate but now that PSA owns SGC, does that increase the value of SGC slabs going forward? I prefer SGC (even for re-selling) because of the cost and quicker turnaround times.
Do stack your PSA order with the best condition cards in the beginning so the grader gets in the habit of pushing the 10 button 😂
Keep sending to PSA. 😆
What does 15 pop mean?
It's the population of that grade. 15 pop means only 15 exist in that grade from the grading company.
@@StrykerBreaks thank you
do you make the beds in the hospital
What does 6POP mean?
You got “Grader Fckd” .. Someone just having a bad day.. I’d crack & resub every single one of those, especially with the baseball sale..
still new in trying to get in the game, can someone explain “POP” to me in simple terms?
Just getting back into collecting so someone can correct me if I am wrong but I know it to stand for “population,” meaning how many of a specific grade of a specific card exist. 9 is the new Raw

PSA is a business. They dont make revenue on 10s.
Doubt you’d admit, but did you touch any of these up, because if you having this rate, we novice don’t stand a chance
I mean obviously you have to inspect and wipe cards before u send them.. watch his vid on how he sends cards out
I dont care what anyone says ..i swear they treat some peoples cards tougher than others
That blue dominguez was clean enough to get a 10
there is nothing wrong with the majority of these 9s.... why pay the premium for the "premium"
Tough asss grader
Yikes...9s
The Hoffman got an 8 because you for some reason called him the GOAT
While I like PSA more than other company, I think they would benefit from subgrades like Beckett but under the current PSA grading system of whole numbers.

PSA is a crap show
It's aggravating knowing you sent it off as a 10 but gets dinged along the way some how
