    Thanks - just picked one up. When you drank your coffee, for a second I thought you were drinking motor oil! Haha.

    Thank you, it’s always nice to have A task and see someone else’s experience first. I have several bikes I keep up for myself.

    Good job .... independence is a great thing ...knowledge too! Nice to see a purple ZRX ..too many Eddie Lawson replicas about. I like the black and gold ZRX colours and hopefully soon will acquire one. Ride safe! 🙏🏻

      @@CuriousAdventures I missed out on one in Bristol but the bike shop had bad reviews so maybe a blessing. There is a great one in Germany that they'll ship over...idk ad too much at the moment.
      One day soon 😊

      @@martynj-c4965 Yep, know that feeling. We live in Weston, but had to travel to Brighton to get my one. Was a gamble, bought off E-bay and took the train to pick it up. Rode it back.
      E-bay does not always work out like that but glad we took the chance.

    Hi can you explain how to remove the gas tank please ? Thank you for your video

    • @CuriousAdventures
      @CuriousAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      There are two bolt's that secure the tank at the rear. But you will also need to disconnect the fuel pipe and vacuum pipe from the tap. Also the fuel gauge block connector and vent pipe (both accessed by lifting the back of the tank) will also need to be disconnected.
      The tank is supported on the front by two big round rubber grommets. Sometimes these can be a bit sticky so a bit of wobbling and pulling is needed, the tank will pull backwards and upwards off the grommets mounted either side at the front.
      Hope that helps.

    use 17 MM socket and short extension -- works just fine.

    • @CuriousAdventures
      @CuriousAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great, yes, sure it does. "Fine" is OK. But I prefer to use the best tools I can. Note these tools came from working in places where I had to do what others had failed to do. Need better than "fine" as that is what usually led to the issue.

    Getting at the two inner plugs is an absolute nightmare on the thing.
    And don't believe for a second we didn't notice the editing cuts that make it look, well not "easy" per se but about a hundred times less hard than it actually is

    • @CuriousAdventures
      @CuriousAdventures  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well actually the two inner plugs are easy to access, just needs the right sized socket and extensions. They are accessed straight down between the frame tubes from above. The only issue is if the socket does not retain the spark plug then a magnet on a stick is helpful to retrieve them. The hardest part is getting the tank off!

    • @Cancun771
      @Cancun771 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@CuriousAdventures I disagree, although the inner plugs proved less difficult than I remembered if you simply unscrew the thermostat valve. More accessible still if you then disconnect all the electrical connectors.

      @@Cancun771 KISS why bother unbolting stuff when it's easy to do without? I don't have a problem getting to the plugs with the tools I have. No point in messing around undoing other stuff when it's an easy job anyway.

    Hello only just seen your video very informative, where did you manage to get the shop manual from ?

    • @CuriousAdventures
      @CuriousAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got it through Fowlers motorcycles Bristol. But that was a few years ago now. Kawasaki manuals have always been available, just not always Cheap.
