1996 Bulls record with regular season and postseason combined was 87-13. The Golden St Warriors final tally was 87-17. The only reason Golden St got 87 wins was because the 1st round is a best of 7 now, Jordan had a best of 5 sweep. The only claim Golden St has is that they won one more during the regular season. The argument for best team ever isn't up for debate. That 87-13 96 Bulls was the one that won't be beat. I don't care if you go 80-2 and then lose in the playoffs. Means nothing.
Yeah that Warriors loss in the finals was tragic… the Shaq and Kobe Lakers only loss 1 game in one of those playoffs so they have a good case for best team ever for real
Great video young man…keep at it….MJ actually defeated Larry Bird 8 times before he even played his first NBA game. The ‘84 Olympic team MJ was on beat the NBA all stars 8 consecutive games without a loss. Early on when he faced the Celtics you have to remember he was playing 5 hall of fame players for Boston. He still got 63. He didn’t have Pippen that year. These days load management….please. Jordan felt he had to play every game and play his best every game because he said this might be their only chance to see him play. Scottie Pippen is top 40 all time…insanely athletic and he doesn’t get the respect he deserves. I can watch his dunk on Ewing any time
People would look at the 90's as a far more complete and competent and competitive team if the Cavs, Knicks, Phx, Jazz, Supersonics had won; and they all do win, if MJ and the Bulls weren't around. It is only b/c of the dominance of MJ and the Bulls that people think it was a weak era. I would be insulted if I were Miller, Shaq, Penny, Larry Johnson, Malone, Stockton, and so many others. There was legit great players in the league, and they weren't just out there on their teams by themselves getting torched by MJ and a stacked Bulls team. Also, MJ being described as competition incarnate is a perfect way to describe him.
The one thing young fans don’t understand when they see highlights of Michael Jordan is they don’t see the context behind that highlight. A lot of those highlights was when he’s dropped 6,8,10 straight points on the opponent during key times in the game, to where they had to call time out.
I never seen that block before I grew up watching Jordan he jump so high with the intention to jump with the right hand but blocks him with the left. He was a bad man!

He was the first player in history to get 200 steals and 100 blocks in a season, it has still only been done by 3 players. (Michael did it twice). He was the steals leader 3 times. He's the only guard in history, relative to his position, both in the Top 5 for blocks and Top 5 for steals. He was the defensive Player of the Year and Scoring Champion in the same year, the only player in history to accomplish this. The most competitive person alive, a ridiculously talented athlete, the hardest-working man on the court....Michael had a lot of things that added up to make him the GOAT. One of his biggest advantages is little-known. When Phil Jackson was asked by a reporter what Jordan's greatest attribute was, Phil said "his hands". MJ had some massive mitts, and it allowed him to palm that ball like you or I would palm a grapefruit
The Celtic had 5 hall of famers in their starting 5. The only team that gave those Celtics any type of competition was the Dr. J Sixers and Magic Johnson, Kareem and the Lakers.
And I meant to tell you in the Bird video. While Larry's teams almost always won, and he even had that game winner in MJs face, Micheal Jordan is the greatest player ever. His defense and ability to score on anyone, anywhere is why
Here's a statement that I've never heard from any announcer about any player coming into the NBA "He's going to be the next LeBron James"!!!! Everyone is still to this day comparing the young NBA talent to Michael Jordan!!!! 100% facts
Jordan is so good that in the "making the case for the goat" series he down talks Jordan....doesn't do that with anybody else. I'm not a basketball fan but I'm and enormous Michael Jordan fan. He transcended basketball.
Saying MJ couldn’t win without Scottie is a dumb take…. Jordan made Pippen. Scottie didn’t even start his rookie season, and it took him 3 years to make the all star game. He has zero league MVPs, and zero Finals MVPs. Pippen wouldn’t be in the HOF if not for MJ.
Scottie was a great player, but let’s not forget that when he went to the rockets and then got traded to the blazers he averaged only 16.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 40 playoff games without Michael Jordan. Not exactly great. This is why you hear folks say “Scottie was a glorified role player” as stupid as that is. He played on really good teams after MJ. But In those 5 seasons, w/ hou & Portland he only averaged a best 14.5 Pts which was the 98’99 season. His stats only declined over the following 4 seasons and on neither of those teams was he able to see a finals. In fact, The following year, the Blazers still won 50 games. They were swept in the first round by the Lakers. Two more years of Pippen seeing two more playoff appearances, but another two first-round exits. 5 years in a row and only once was he able to advance past the first round. Scottie is an all time great, but his “greatness” was imo grossly elevated by MJs existence on the court. Another unpopular opinion, I think Phil gets a lot more credit than he deserves as well. Winning with MJs bulls or Shaq&Kobes teams shouldn’t have been hard. Imo you could plug in 75% of the nba coaches and it wouldn’t have changed by outcomes. “Give the ball to MJ and get out of the way”. Doesn’t seem tough, at all.
If you're talking about TEAM accomplishments look at it. Don't take my word, check it out yourself. I haven't tried to sway anyone years ago. I have been a NBA fan since 1966.
Jordan didn’t have to go with superteams like LeBron to get more rings he carried the balls with all the championships he played in the Eastern conference which was the hardest conference of that time the more physical LeBron also played in the Western Conference and Eastern conference but it wasn’t as physical as back in the day
I honestly don’t understand how you could ignore his wizards years. Dude AT 38-40 years of age was putting up numbers that these guys are putting up today. Meanwhile he put up superior numbers in his earlier years. He played better at his later age than most guys are playing today and played against some of the those recently retired guys as well. If I’m having any debate about MJ vs whom ever, I am not excluding his Wizards years. His old ass was still ballin. Don’t know what the narrator is talking about. You have to include his Wizards years. He holds some records in that age group. 🤷🏾♂️
Jordan would have beaten Bird and Magic multiple times in the playoffs had Birds body not broken down in the last 3 seasons of his career and had Magic not been forced to retire because of contracting the HIV virus back in 1991. The Magic thing was sad and just lack of knowledge of that disease because in the end Magic has remained healthy til this day ....for the last 30 years in fact thank God. But yeah in the 1980s Jordan could not beat a prime Larry Bird and his Celtics. Main reason being that those Celtics teams from 1984 to 1987 were some of the greatest teams of all time. Especially that 86 team.
People also forget Jordan bird and magic played back when it was brutal the Pistons were playing like a hockey team they had the Jordan rules alot of today's players wouldn't no what to do if they were playing the old school pistons and they came in the lane and got close lined elbowed to the stomach just like football these players wouldn't have the toughness to play back then imagine how much Jordan would of did if he played in these times were u don't have to worry about getting closed lined and it b apart of the game
With a bum knee that needed be drained after games. If he had stayed healthy he could have played a lot more years and he might actually be the career points leader.
You mean Bulls never beat Celtics right? Coz MJ beat Bird in the game.. He played better and made more shots. Just so happened that time MJ team wasn't on their level. But MJ was the scoring champion and Defensive Player of the Year... Something others can't claim when their team is trash
People say Jordan was in a weak league pnly say that because Jordan beat them all. Bron loses all the time so it makes it seem like the league is harder, truth is, Bron just donest win like Jordan did.

He didn't beat Bird's team. It was basically a team against one player. Kobe actually got those movements from MJ. I agree with the video speaker. People want to think that whatever is going on now is the best thing ever. Lebron with Pippen 2.0 with less defense. Scottie could have been Lebron if he had a Pippen or brought a bunch of other all-stars to the team. The bulls could have easily won more than 72 games and swept more series that year and in their other title runs. The league expansion didn't make Jordan's competition weak because a lot of the best teams were already established, and even some of those expansion teams put some good teams together.

Pippen was the team leader for 700 days. They got cheated out of the playoffs with the Magic. Teams need to find their strengths. The Bulls became a super team, naturally. The team was built around Jordan and he left and came back into his role with new players. TONI DENNIS & LUC were growing into great role players under his leadership. Jordan was trusting them and passed more than his early years
But lets not forget that Phil Jackson was an assistant coach during his first 2 years with the Bulls after coming from Albany and it was Tex Winters that taught him the triangle and asked him to get Jordan to try it. He was not this great all-time coach when he took over head coaching reigns in Chicago. Keep it real!

I think it's true Jordan was not perfect....but nobody is perfect winning every game and hitting every shot. You've got to lose to learn how to win but Michael Jordan's 13 seasons with the Chicago Bulls is the greatest run of dominant accomplishments as an individual and teamwise success in history. 1985 til 1993 then 1995 til 1998. In Jordan's 2nd year with the Bulls in 1986 he missed most of the regular season because of a broken bone in his foot in his...I think 4th game that season. Then after his father was brutally murdered in the summer of 1993 Jordan retired and didn't play in the 94 season and most of the 95 season coming back finally with only 17 games left in that 95 regular season. So Jordan's numbers statistics could have been much higher than what they were which is insane. Had Jordan never retired that first time in the summer of 93 than Jordan and his Bulls would have won 8 straight NBA Championships. Those Hakheem Olojowan Houston Rockets....no disrespect...were great in 1994 and 1995...but nah....they would have lost to Jordan in the Finals both of those years. Then you factor in that the Bulls general manager Jerry Krause broke up this Bulls team after their 6th championship ....right after their 2nd run of 3 championships in a row....in the summer of 1998. Had that not happened Jordan and that Bulls team would have won that next year's shortened NBA seasons championship in 1999 versus the Spurs with the great Admiral David Robinson and the rookie future great Tim Duncan. That would have been 9 straight championships for Jordan and his Bulls. After that?? We probably would have gotten Jordan and the Bulls vs the Shaq led Lakers with a young but still great Kobe Bryant in the 2000 and 2001 Finals. I feel the Bulls and Jordan defeats those Lakers in the 2000 NBA Finals but after that I feel age would have finally caught up to those Bulls but it would have been great to see Jordan and the Bulls lose in the Finals. It would have been a true passing of the torch. But had Jordan and his Bulls beaten the 99 Spurs and the 2000 Lakers 8n the Finals that would have been 10 straight NBA chsmpionships!!!! 😳 😝🤪😜😉🙃🙂

LeBron is Pippen version 2.0 ? Are you serious ? Take a closer look at the defensive level of play before saying such nonsense. Pippen is the only outside defender even more incredible than Jordan.
Yeah that block was on another level
Have you seen the historic bulls mixtape? It's in it
There isn't a real case for anyone being over Jordan.

He was the first player in history to be selected to 9 All Defensive First teams.
His 131 blocks for the 1988 season is still the most blocks in a season by a guard in NBA history.
You’ve made the case with this comment lol
my top 3 1 Micheal, 2 Kareem, 3 Bird
He didn't beat bird because he didn't have the team for it. Once the Bulls got good Larry Bird was retired due to injury. Jordan put up on playoff record 63 points against Bird's best team
Yeah that’s what I always say when people bring up the fact that MJ never beat Larry… but Larry still has that over MJ’s head
@@MarcTheSparcTV At least he beat him when Larry was a coach in Indiana... although Bird gave him the toughest series of the whole decade cause even as a coach Bird was fucking brilliant... smartest person to ever play basketball...

After MJ’s 2nd ring is when Bird retired. They just never met up again after 1987.
Yeah he had some Kawhi hands definitely
There’s a Vid of Michael palming a pumpkin
The Celtic had 5 hall of famers in their starting 5. The only team that gave those Celtics any type of competition was the Dr. J Sixers and Magic Johnson, Kareem and the Lakers.
mj always had bum centers, perish was no joke never got enough credit with the celtics
I remember being the most happy as anyone could be when i seen these 2 words, "I'm Back". 🐐
14:14 You are spitting FACTS
I call it like I see it
Nice ending from you too man.. i like it... MJ is the NO.1
Saying MJ couldn’t win without Scottie is a dumb take….
Jordan’s rookie year stats were basically the same as Kobe's MVP season
That’s crazy as hell
But in all fairness.. kobe was robbed of a couple MVPs...
@@18jeepsrt74 And you think Jordan wasn't robbed on multiple ocassions?
@@electric8668 no im just saying kobes mvp season wasnt even his best season

During birds time Jordan was with the traveling cocaine circus as a team. He was the team
If you're talking about TEAM accomplishments look at it. Don't take my word, check it out yourself. I haven't tried to sway anyone years ago. I have been a NBA fan since 1966.
dude in the MJ days there was Wayne Gretzky, Mike Tyson and Michael Jordan. It was dope
Facts! A much simpler time
Pippen 2.0!!!! Absolutely love it!!! Awesome man!
😅With all do respect
40 years old on the wizards was still some incredible basketball. I do not understand why folks talk like he failed on the wizards
How can you beat Bird with 4 other HOF’s while you have a team full of cocaine sniffing junkies and drug dealers. 🤷🏾♂️🤔
Jordan didn’t have to go with superteams like LeBron to get more rings he carried the balls with all the championships he played in the Eastern conference which was the hardest conference of that time the more physical LeBron also played in the Western Conference and Eastern conference but it wasn’t as physical as back in the day
By the way Oscar Robertson, The Big O was the best power forward the league has ever seen.
Rodman has to this day the most rebounds and most aggressive player that will make sure the team has the ball. Tired of him being snubbed
Greg Popvich spell check lol. Greg is the closest head coach to teach the older style and getting the best out of players and team players at that
If mj played this NBA soft era he will average 45ppg
People also forget Jordan bird and magic played back when it was brutal the Pistons were playing like a hockey team they had the Jordan rules alot of today's players wouldn't no what to do if they were playing the old school pistons and they came in the lane and got close lined elbowed to the stomach just like football these players wouldn't have the toughness to play back then imagine how much Jordan would of did if he played in these times were u don't have to worry about getting closed lined and it b apart of the game
MJ23 is the real ultimate GOAT 💯 ever ♥️
I'd have to agree... but some people don't
Only thing Mike & Luka hav in common both got nba issued socks that’s it.
Y ignore the wizard years, he averaged 25 ppg at age 40
With a bum knee that needed be drained after games. If he had stayed healthy he could have played a lot more years and he might actually be the career points leader.

I hung out with Duncan when he was a senior at wake .it was at a club in Winston Salem NC I was dancing and my friend was like hey there Tim Duncan and I looked and there he was looking goofy AF dancing behind a girl he had his hat pulled down he was just humping away I almost hurt a rib laughing.
