      That's exactly what Magic said, in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, "There's Michael Jordan up here and then there's the rest of us, the NBA".
      Larry Bird once said "That MJ was God disguised as Michael Jordan. "
      Kobe Bryant once said (when being asked about who is best....), " He's like my big brother, I truly hate having discussions about who would win one-on-one, fans saying, 'Hey, Kobe, you'd beat Michael one on one. ' And I feel like, yo, what you get from me is from him.".

Jordan got the inbound drove in and made a contested layup, then came down and got a steal on Malone, and then hit the game and championship winner.

    1996 Bulls record with regular season and postseason combined was 87-13.
    The Golden St Warriors final tally was 87-17.
    The only reason Golden St got 87 wins was because the 1st round is a best of 7 now, Jordan had a best of 5 sweep.
    The only claim Golden St has is that they won one more during the regular season. The argument for best team ever isn't up for debate. That 87-13 96 Bulls was the one that won't be beat.

    Great video young man…keep at it….MJ actually defeated Larry Bird 8 times before he even played his first NBA game. The ‘84 Olympic team MJ was on beat the NBA all stars 8 consecutive games without a loss. Early on when he faced the Celtics you have to remember he was playing 5 hall of fame players for Boston. He still got 63. He didn’t have Pippen that year. These days load management….please. Jordan felt he had to play every game and play his best every game because he said this might be their only chance to see him play. Scottie Pippen is top 40 all time…insanely athletic and he doesn’t get the respect he deserves. I can watch his dunk on Ewing any time

    People would look at the 90's as a far more complete and competent and competitive team if the Cavs, Knicks, Phx, Jazz, Supersonics had won; and they all do win, if MJ and the Bulls weren't around. It is only b/c of the dominance of MJ and the Bulls that people think it was a weak era. I would be insulted if I were Miller, Shaq, Penny, Larry Johnson, Malone, Stockton, and so many others. There was legit great players in the league, and they weren't just out there on their teams by themselves getting torched by MJ and a stacked Bulls team.
    Also, MJ being described as competition incarnate is a perfect way to describe him.

    Saying MJ couldn’t win without Scottie is a dumb take…. Jordan made Pippen. Scottie didn’t even start his rookie season, and it took him 3 years to make the all star game. He has zero league MVPs, and zero Finals MVPs. Pippen wouldn’t be in the HOF if not for MJ.

  • @localcomputerrepairs
    @localcomputerrepairs 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Scottie was a great player, but let’s not forget that when he went to the rockets and then got traded to the blazers he averaged only 16.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 40 playoff games without Michael Jordan. Not exactly great. This is why you hear folks say “Scottie was a glorified role player” as stupid as that is. He played on really good teams after MJ. But In those 5 seasons, w/ hou & Portland he only averaged a best 14.5 Pts which was the 98’99 season. His stats only declined over the following 4 seasons and on neither of those teams was he able to see a finals. In fact, The following year, the Blazers still won 50 games. They were swept in the first round by the Lakers. Two more years of Pippen seeing two more playoff appearances, but another two first-round exits. 5 years in a row and only once was he able to advance past the first round. Scottie is an all time great, but his “greatness” was imo grossly elevated by MJs existence on the court.
    Another unpopular opinion, I think Phil gets a lot more credit than he deserves as well. Winning with MJs bulls or Shaq&Kobes teams shouldn’t have been hard. Imo you could plug in 75% of the nba coaches and it wouldn’t have changed by outcomes. “Give the ball to MJ and get out of the way”. Doesn’t seem tough, at all.

    Jordan would have beaten Bird and Magic multiple times in the playoffs had Birds body not broken down in the last 3 seasons of his career and had Magic not been forced to retire because of contracting the HIV virus back in 1991. The Magic thing was sad and just lack of knowledge of that disease because in the end Magic has remained healthy til this day ....for the last 30 years in fact thank God. But yeah in the 1980s Jordan could not beat a prime Larry Bird and his Celtics. Main reason being that those Celtics teams from 1984 to 1987 were some of the greatest teams of all time. He didn't beat Bird's team. It was basically a team against one player. Kobe actually got those movements from MJ. I agree with the video speaker. People want to think that whatever is going on now is the best thing ever. Lebron with Pippen 2.0 with less defense. Scottie could have been Lebron if he had a Pippen or brought a bunch of other all-stars to the team. The bulls could have easily won more than 72 games and swept more series that year and in their other title runs. The league expansion didn't make Jordan's competition weak because a lot of the best teams were already established, and even some of those expansion teams put some good teams together.

    Teams need to find their strengths. The Bulls became a super team, naturally. The team was built around Jordan and he left and came back into his role with new players. I think it's true Jordan was not perfect....but nobody is perfect winning every game and hitting every shot. You've got to lose to learn how to win but Michael Jordan's 13 seasons with the Chicago Bulls is the greatest run of dominant accomplishments as an individual and teamwise success in history. 1985 til 1993 then 1995 til 1998. In Jordan's 2nd year with the Bulls in 1986 he missed most of the regular season because of a broken bone in his foot in his...I think 4th game that season. Then after his father was brutally murdered in the summer of 1993 Jordan retired and didn't play in the 94 season and most of the 95 season coming back finally with only 17 games left in that 95 regular season. So Jordan's numbers statistics could have been much higher than what they were which is insane. Had Jordan never retired that first time in the summer of 93 than Jordan and his Bulls would have won 8 straight NBA Championships. Those Hakheem Olojowan Houston Rockets....no disrespect...were great in 1994 and 1995...but nah....they would have lost to Jordan in the Finals both of those years. Then you factor in that the Bulls general manager Jerry Krause broke up this Bulls team after their 6th championship ....right after their 2nd run of 3 championships in a row....in the summer of 1998. Had that not happened Jordan and that Bulls team would have won that next year's shortened NBA seasons championship in 1999 versus the Spurs with the great Admiral David Robinson and the rookie future great Tim Duncan. That would have been 9 straight championships for Jordan and his Bulls. After that?? We probably would have gotten Jordan and the Bulls vs the Shaq led Lakers with a young but still great Kobe Bryant in the 2000 and 2001 Finals. I feel the Bulls and Jordan defeats those Lakers in the 2000 NBA Finals but after that I feel age would have finally caught up to those Bulls but it would have been great to see Jordan and the Bulls lose in the Finals. It would have been a true passing of the torch. But had Jordan and his Bulls beaten the 99 Spurs and the 2000 Lakers 8n the Finals that would have been 10 straight NBA chsmpionships!!!! 😳 😝🤪😜😉🙃🙂
