    I've been using the same deeper model for about the same amount of time. I use it kayak fishing. The kayak arm mount works flawlessly. I love it. I keep using it more and more. I like to float it out in the current until I mark fish, then keep it there as a marker and float a popping cork with a live shrimp by it. Pick up the bite. Works great.

      That's awesome Chris. Although I don't have a kayak, the mount looks like it would be amazing for that.

    Another great feature of the deeper, is that when you are looking to the history it will track your movements on the map while it is running the sonar on the right side of the phone. That means that if you see something on either the sonar side or the map side you can correlate it with the other like a deep hole that you want to fish then you can see where you are at on the map whenever that came across the sonar or underwater structure and see where that was at on the map.

    First time winning a slateater fishing tournament was when i used this wjth my cheap saltwater electric trolling motor John boat. Won 10k cash plus gift cars for multiple sporting stores values 1-2k dolalrs and fishing gear ECT. Ot was a grand slam tournament you had to catch one red fish one speckled trout, one flounder and one sheepshead. My total weight was only 69 lbs and was a horrible fishing day but i won and guys with a 100k dollar boat setup was mad i won with this sonar fish finder trolling behind my john boat very slowly finding fish and getting jt done its awesome. I mapped out my ponds and river and bank fishing spots now i cam target every hot spot everytime and i can catch my limit eberytime so easily now cause i can tell kf the fish are in the hole or spot and if not i kist keep moving and traveling till i find one of my spots bank fishing that has fish and dont waste time and bait

    I carp fish at local lake
    I’m thinking to just one of these
    Not so much to find the fish
    But I want to find drop off, creek channel, stumps, and deeper holes
    Would this device help me so that?

    Good video. What type of Rod, Reel and Line would you recommend for freshwater ponds and lakes to cast the Deeper with it’s 3.5 oz weight. Want to be able to get a good cast when needed but not snap the rod or line etc.?

    Bro!!! I love my Deeper. Bought it last ice fishing season. Ive got alot of the lakes mapped out around here. we got down to 34° last night so the ice isn't to far away!! You should come up here to Northern Colorado when the ice takes over bro.

    This is a question for those that have this product. We have several lakes near us that are spring fed. They get warm enough in the summer that the trout head for that spring water. We have 'some' idea where those springs are when they are so deep we cannot easily spot the springs from the surface. So the question is, will this baby spot those springs in, say, 30 feet of water on the wider scan and read them off? Most of the 'fish finders' I have used just can not do a wide enough scan so they cannot find the springs unless you are within five feet of them on either side of the boat. Always nice when you are reading 25 feet of water and then, suddenly, in 38 feet of water for six feet, and then back to 26 or so. And then the problem being that you have to go back and find that spot. Also kind of fun to be fishing in 30 feet of water and your 50 foot anchor line is hanging straight down with all the line out. This could shorten that process quite a lot without spending the $700 for a fish finder that can map the bottom like that.

    Hey quick question. I'm thinking about getting the dobyns fury for my all purpose rod and I was wondering what you thought about them. I've heard they have a soft or slower tip than what they are rated. Do u notice anything? Would you recommend it for frogging, Texas, rigs, spooks, spinner baits, chatters, everything. If not what would u recommend. Thanks. Keep up the great vids

      Kristen tbh, Dobyns pays me $0...and the Fury is an amazing rod. I have 4 now and they fish VERY close to as well as my Champions. Dobyns rods tend to have a slower tip (action) than other rod brands, but that's not a bad thing at all. A slower action lets the fish load up better when you set the hook, the rod loads better when you cast, and they fight fish better than an extra fast tip. As Bobby said, the 735 is a great rod for frogs and about everything else you listed. The 765 has become my go-to flipping stick (which is crazy for a $100 rod). The 705cb is excellent for square bills and jerk baits.....you can't go wrong.

      Milliken Fishing what do you think about the savvy series micro rods by DOBYNS ? I have BPS rods a lot of lews rods like 10 of them st croix and Abu Garcia rods particularly the new Ike series casting rods and I don't know if it's just me but the sensitivity of the rods are amazing it makes some of my other higher end rods feel like broom sticks with line guides lol

    I bought one last year and I love it. Also in the history you can hit the cloud button( with the arrow inside) & upload your map. Go to Lakelook and it merges your history with Google map. I can see all the different places and lakes where I have fished. History feature I found to be real helpful when I am at home. I can look back at earlier fishing trip and really look it and see things that I might have missed, because of boat traffic, getting distracted by something & can see things in greater detail than when I was in the lake and may have missed or over looked.

    I see that the Deeper is a very useful and versatile unit. As I understand, you say that it communicates with your phone via WiFi. Does this mean that I must pay for some kind of WiFi service before I can use it?

    • @justinb9033
      @justinb9033 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. WiFi is a wireless communication protocol, nothing more. Think of it this way, if you had to plug a wire from the Deeper Sonar to your phone, would you also assume that you have to pay for some service? Of course not. All WiFi does is replace the wire, that's it - It's just a different way of moving data. Deeper provides a "WiFi hotspot" that you connect to from your phone, the data transmits from Deeper to your phone/tablet app. There is no Internet involved and you can't use the "hotspot" for anything but talking to the Deeper Sonar.
