I'm looking at an H12 specifically so I can start taking my daughter on the water. The intro here was perfect
It’s pretty good for small children for sure. However, you don’t want to be standing up too much as it gets a little shakey when standing.
I love these Ascend brand kayaks. I am picking up a 128T either today or tomorrow. The H12 is definitely on my Christmas list!
That is a sweet boat!
Thanks Travis I like it so far but does take some getting use to
I have one and I’m going to go buy one more
I’ve got a pedal kayak now.
I love mine
Wry versatile boat
Excellent review. What about if it capsizes in deep water? Can it be flipped back over with the right technique, like a canoe? And how about climbing back inside of it in that same scenario. I look forward to seeing you try it in the next video. Thanks.
John,
It is really exactly like a canoe. I no longer have the kayak but would have tried it for you. I had to sell because I am trying to get into a pedal kayak.
@@CoachWoodwardoutdoors Thanks for the reply. Ya, I'm not sure whether to go for the regular sit on top 12T or the H12T. I am leaning more toward the H12T because of the canoe design. Any suggestions?
Hey partner, what is the minkota setup you on it.
It is the cheapest transom mounted tolling motor from dicks sporting goods. I think I got it for under 100 bucks
Do you know if this boat float if capsized?
I have the same kayak but green and black camo, it has big pieces of foam in the nose and tail so I’m almost positive it will stay on the surface so you can swim it back to shore and get it back upright. I had a field and stream shadow caster 123 sit on top fishing kayak and I ended up selling it and now this is my only kayak. I personally like the sit inside kayaks better, they are much easier to paddle and are much more comfortable (this one has armrests 😉)
I am not sure but I would think it would stay afloat
