Scotland History Tours is here for people who want to learn about Scottish history and get ideas for Scottish history tours. I try to make videos which tell you tales from Scotland's past and give you information about key dates in Scottish history and historical places to visit in Scotland. Not all videos are tales from Scotland's history, some of them are about men from Scotland's past or women from Scotland's past. Basically the people who made Scotland. From April 2020 onward I've tried to give ideas for historic days out in Scotland. Essentially these are days out in Scotland for adults who are interested in historical places to visit in Scotland.
As a Scottish history tour guide people ask: Help me plan a Scottish holiday, or help me plan a Scottish vacation of your from the US. So I've tried to give a bit of history, but some places of interest in Scotland as well.

Bruce as a Charles Murray (which you know) my family rests in the other church just along the road from Tullibardine at the Church at Tibbermore also used in Outlander season 1. Ep11. It is great to watch and learn about Scottish history and indeed my own family's history from yourself.
Not only does Bruce teach us about Scottish history but he also wrote some of my own. At his 1st Comedy gig in Inverness I met my 2nd wife to him I'm indebted.... I now part own 121 pairs of ladies shoes.

Then why watch Outlander its Fantasy and Romantic Fiction, the S N P love it. I read the reality of the 'Campaighn' in 1974,the book even gave a list of the regiments on both sides. Some of the government units are today the oldest in the British Army, and wait for it, some of the are Scottish.

@@philiprufus4427 isn’t it possible to understand the reality and still enjoy the series of Outlander. My father was Scottish and I know both sides had a mix of Irish, French Irish, Scots and English. I live not far from Culloden and some of the facts in Outlander are true. It also has brought a great deal of tourists to Scotland looking at the film sites etc. I also enjoyed Harry Potter and the Narnia books so I do understand the difference between fact and fiction. At seventy years of age I have also read the true history of Scotland. Also visited historic sites understanding exactly what the Scottish people lost.

I'm actually surprised at the number of men who really enjoy Outlander. Must be all the swords and dirks. 😁

In my mind the appeal is not only the female character but more that it's a very manly and virile tv show. The men are virile, honorable, capable and the women as well capable and very feminine and committed. I think it shows that there is more than duality. Outlander shows healty values that are lost and maybe worth to pick up again. And then its just a beauty to watch. Contemporary life looks dull and without freedom in comparison. Well that is my take, rading the comments by men under this kind of video.

I know this video is 3 years old, but I never knew that the English government banned Outlander in Scotland!!! Jesus H Roosevelt, it's filmed in Scotland. Just going to show humans don't learn from history sadly.

What happened to George’s Wife? Did she get buried next to her daughter? Did she stay with the Hanoverians? No good choice for the Scots at all!

Outlander is rather odd, all that husband and wife bonking.

You would have been a better actor for the main male role.
Let's face it, you're better looking!
