My family has been in the center of this issue, have been separated for 12 years and counting, for no tangible crimes committed and the only chance we stand is to apply 212 , which is not guaranteed. The person who have suffered the most it is me, having to raise those kids by myself and yet I should prove extreme hardship, prove a bonafide marriage and to me am like why would I have waited this long and still be interested to my partner? Immigration law undermines the belief that America is for families and it is time to stop hiding behind institutions that are in American. How could my American marriage( A valid marriage of 19 years, that was done before a judge)be broken by another institution of the same country? Please, a family like mine how to trust and be patriotic again!
