This happened to a kid I went to high school with. They literally dropped him off at the boarder with nothing but the clothes on his back. He knew nobody in Mexico. Shortly after that he ended his own life because he truly felt like he had no life worth living. Its heartbreaking.
That's nothing. I knew a father of two boys, 2 and 3. A truck rear ended his SUV. Yet he got arrested and put to jail for 3 months and then, sent to an ICE detention center for 12 months before being deported. The psicological scars that his kids have are deep. The 2 year old is almost 5 now but he doesn't talk, the 3 year old now almost 7, has speach and learning problems, they were bright normal boys. It's just sad. She's never been there, she barely even speaks any Spanish, hardly any at all. She went to school here and worked for the same company, cleaning hotel rooms on the strip for the last 40 some years. The police came to her house, looking for someone else, wrong address, found out she is illegal and arrested her. When I met her in late 2019 (when I went to jail), she had been in that jail for 2years and still had no idea when she'd ever be let out. Idk what happened to her, but I pray she's okay. But then most of us wouldn’t understand it. It’s made for an “English” speaking audience. Also this journalist is chosen for this types of interviews
She is good though.
@@blackwind6317 an accommodation would be a better word rather than discrimination. But I do believe she’s the best reporter to cover this.
This is the most heartbreaking thing I’ve seen today.
Right now, so many things are heartbreaking😢😔
He's an adult
What is heartbreaking? Law at work?
It’s heartbreaking that he’s returning to his home country? What
Can we get an update on this!
It made me cry how a family is separated. We are all human regardless what race you are. We all want a better life for our children or ourself. If Mexico was a country with lots of opportunities they wouldn’t go to USA
No matter which developing country you go to, if you’re at the bottom of the social class it’s tougher vs in USA where there’s more mobility especially to get grants start a business etc
Mexico has changed a lot lately. There is significantly more opportunity there now.
He should be fine now. Check out Coreano Vlogs

We are one race. HUMAN
FOR WEED?! Seriously?! It's LEGAL in so many states. We need a supreme court ruling on legalizing weed. This is getting ridiculous.
Marijuana is a life-ruining poison and anyone caught selling it should get the death penalty.
@@haydengalloway5177 lmao what? Its the reason I had a high gpa in college. As a highschool dropout, I maintained a gpa of over 3.8 bc of weed.
Lol Not here in Arizona yet but hopefully prop 207 gets passed for us..🙏
Jayyperez 5898 and you clearly don’t enough either.
Federally, it is not legal!
It’s not “rule of law” it’s “rule of money”
Agreed
Es verdad .
They got pesos in Mexico. He can start earning them like everyone else down there.
@Javier Romo he can't he doesn't know how to work, we keep taking their jobs remember?
Thank you. I was trying to figure out how to word it correctly but I couldn't stop cursing
Should of sent the whole family back.
I love that the reporter knows her stuff and defending the guy!👍🏼
I grew up with 2 friends who got deported, they just came back and have been here without issue for over 15 years
I was thinking same thing
Let the child go back to his parents.
Yessss
The parents didn’t do a great job per say
@@jaliscopow6814 _ U need a mental check, no parents are perfect- he is a child, even he eats marijuana, he stills needs his parents, he needs guidance , he needs support from the state, n remember family is the foundation of a state
Watching that mom cry made me go and hug my mom and ask for forgiveness. I felt her pain in every shed tear and i felt so guilty. Our moms are so strong. I love you so much mom.
Gonzalo Salinas Jr.
Y’all blaming this on the mom but getting citizenship is harder than you think. Especially with this government. Some citizenship requests have been pending for over two decades. Smfh. May Brandon get back home safe, to his mom and siblings.
2 decades? I really doubt that
@@bpxl53yewz29 It’s true. There’s a queue based on your birth country and how many are trying to get in. Each step you take to get through the process can take years depending on how slow your local branch is and how big the backlog is. There are cases of families having to wait over 20 years to become citizens, even after having a green card for well over a decade. The process is slow, and expensive. If you ask immigrant families, most of them are well aware of how cumbersome the process is.
Most people don't understand how blessed they are to have been born in the U.S. They think getting into the U.S. is easy and you just get in line and wait your turn.
@@TheJerry93 if God wanted, whom ever you're referring to would have been born over in theUSA.
It really does take forever..its an expensive and very frustrating process. Checking in constantly and getting tossed around agencies and paperwork. Pandemic made it 10x worse.
I was brought here as well when I was 2 years old and now I'm 30. I fear everyday to make a wrong mistake and get deported to a land I've never even visited. I love my roots but it's a scary thought to be separated from my children
What’s the process for getting legal. Is it an impossible process? Is the rest of your family illegal? Gosh, I can’t imagine living with that fear.
He had a chance to be a good kid and he knew what were the consequences of his actions
I’ve found a guy overseas was deported after being in America for 54 years he came to the us when he was 4 legally and never finished the immigration process
How you gonna be deported after 54 years if it only take about 10 years to become a citizen
@@reptilian2998 he didn’t renewed his greencard
@@Yoda1-27 well you know they keep track of you when you go in the system so they know where you are at whenever they want
@@Yoda1-27 uhhhh yeah that’s what happens when you don’t renew your green card. You get deported. You would think he would’ve gotten it taken care of after 54 years. That’s just being lazy and arrogant.
Maybe made it that long because he never broke the law and stayed very low key
For a kid to be able to save up 10k, that says a lot about his character and hardwork, most adult can't do that. It's unfortunate that a silly mistake is about to cost him Big.
bro he got caught with weed what does that tell you about where 10 grand came from lol he made 8 an hour it would have taken him a long time to save plus how do you work legally or pay taxes without citizenship. Geez people use your heads.
Hard worker or not, that doesn't save him to got deported
@@williamclement4597 Very good point.
Hmm, it would take him at least a decade to save 10K from working a minimum wage job. He was probably doing illegal dealings. Nonetheless, I still have empathy for him.
Thought that too. He was probably selling or maybe he cut people yard for some extra cash. My mind just doesn't get around 10 grand in cash in a short span for an illegal if he or she can't get an actual good paying job. 8 an hour... those are pennies. He wasn't eating or buying other things for himself like the Marijuana he cop.
