Girl you are not crazy! I have three boys, my last was born when my other two were 9 and 13, and he has been such a joy for everyone! (Fun fact he weighted 9’ 13”....same as his brothers ages) We didn’t actually plan him, my hubby had a vasectomy that didn’t work, but God had other plans for us....best oops ever! I can honestly say having our last baby changed the whole dynamic in our house, but in a wonderful way! Teens and kiddos can’t be in a bad mood when a little baby is in the house, it was a wonderful and blessed effect! They are all super close as well, so age made no difference! Can’t wait to “meet” your baby!

My brother and his wife have that Move and Soothe and I use it when I babysit my niece. It is a LIFESAVER! You guys will love it. Also I’m very impressed with how easily and how many times you got up and down from the floor. I’m not even pregnant and I would be exhausted 😆
My last 2 children there are 15 years between them. I didn't plan on having the last one. She was a miracle baby. I wasn't supposed to be able to get pregnant anymore. I wouldn't trade her for anything. It's hard though because I am so much older but it's worth it.

So exciting to be getting ready for new baby! I totally agree with having him in your room at first, especially now that you’re older and probably not used to having a baby. My youngest was 10 when he was born , and when he woke up at night I barely even knew I be was feeding or taking care of him. Lol

There's nothing silly about pre-cleaning freshly unwrapped things. Those things are coated with chemicals to keep them from growing bacteria, microbes, etc before they reach you (but the surface of the chemical coating can grow stuff on it). I was taught to wash those kinds of things in hot soapy water to break the chemical coating, but there are lots of times I'm too tired and end up using a Clorox wipe lol. Congrats on ur newest tiny!

The pregnancy is worth the wait for your baby to pop out (in your case a boy) and I know how hard it is to take care of baby’s, I’ve never had my own but I do baby sitting for baby’s toddlers and sometimes infants, which can be a roller coaster ride tbh lol, and you can use a toy basket for storage but use it as a diaper storage container or other baby products makes it so easy so you don’t have to go to the store every time you need something, ( Congrats on your baby boy!!!!! )

That's in the maybe category. In 2 years we will evaluate if we want to try again or if we think our family is complete. The original idea was to have 2 (2 years apart like my older two) but this pregnancy was a little harder on me. So now it is in the maybe, we shall see how it goes.
We love it actually. It does have a slight clicking noise when it rocks but it's almost like a soothing rhythm. Like a metronome almost. We shall see how it goes when he transitions to a non rocking crib in a month or so 😬.
A pack n play is a lot more versatile! My boy is 11 weeks and already almost too big for the bassinet 😬 a pack and play would transition a lot better to older stages and useful A LOT longer.
Jessie, I’m enjoying your nesting phase. Are you planning on doing any sort of birthing video? You may have discussed it, I just don’t remember ☺️. It depends on how big your baby is but Malcolm was in Newborn for about a week or so. He was supposed to be small but he surprised us at 8lb11oz when he was born.

Maybe wax it ! Won't hurt the finish but gives it a smoother feel! Does it have a topcoat already on it ?

The pregnancy is worth the wait for your baby to pop out (in your case a boy) and I know how hard it is to take care of baby’s, I’ve never had my own but I do baby sitting for baby’s toddlers and sometimes infants, which can be a roller coaster ride tbh lol, and you can use a toy basket for storage but use it as a diaper storage container or other baby products makes it so easy so you don’t have to go to the store every time you need something, ( Congrats on your baby boy!!!!! )

I've tried that for myself and I just don't live life that way 🤣 I did do the nursery dresser drawers that way as you'll see in next week's video but for myself... I can't live life that way 🤣

That's in the maybe category. In 2 years we will evaluate if we want to try again or if we think our family is complete. The original idea was to have 2 (2 years apart like my older two) but this pregnancy was a little harder on me. So now it is in the maybe, we shall see how it goes.
how has the graco bassinet been for you ?
We love it actually. It does have a slight clicking noise when it rocks but it's almost like a soothing rhythm. Like a metronome almost. We shall see how it goes when he transitions to a non rocking crib in a month or so 😬.

A pack n play is a lot more versatile! My boy is 11 weeks and already almost too big for the bassinet 😬 a pack and play would transition a lot better to older stages and useful A LOT longer.

How many newborn diapers should I get?
It depends on how big your baby is but Malcolm was in Newborn for about a week or so. He was supposed to be small but he surprised us at 8lb11oz when he was born.
