    One of those little dipstick oil heaters is worth its weight in gold during cold weather.

    Either your battery is completely toast or your batterycables to the starters are dead.
    With the charger on it should crank over fine.
    But it's a nice car =)

      thanks
      The battery was sitting for about 4 months but it is 6 volts so thats how it sounds with a new battery :)

      Nolan yoyo you need new cables if that’s what a 6 volt sounds like. Both of my 53s sound like 12 volts when cranking its complete bs about 6 volts cranking slowly. Good grounds and good cables are the key to a happy 6 volt.

    In temperatures like this, fully push and release the gas pedal three or four times; repeat as needed.

    Never start a Powerglide car in park, no transmission fluid will flow, thus burning out the transmission.

      Not true in park the transmission isnt engaged

    Those old cars have carburetor chokes. You need to use it or before starting the car.

    • @craigjorgensen4637
      @craigjorgensen4637 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not true. Some had manual chokes and others like this Chevy had automatic chokes.
