1953 Chevrolet Rebuild Interior Disassembly Part 1

In this video I show how to start the process of a full restoration on a 1953 Chevrolet. This shows the deconstruction of the interior. I remove the headliner bows, headliner cleats, sun visors, rear view mirror, beauty rings around the windshield, rear glass, door and quarter glass. I remove the door handles, window cranks, door panels and seats.

I am so glad I came across this video series. I LOVE all those old 1940s, 50s, 60s, Chevs, Fords, Plymouths, and other old "Betsys" I just don't see why they don't make cars like that anymore. They were solid, simple, and practically "bullet-proof". We don't need all this computer controlled crap on our transportation vehicles.

Is it possible to take a picture or two of the rear seat floor where the rear seat bottom mounts to the floor? And, does the rear seat bottom slide under the upper rear seat back?

I don't like to work around anything. I remove them so I can do my sandblast. finish paint and body and put them back where they were.

@@jdinman6263 I understand- my state looks at serial number plate tampering as a potential stolen vehicle. They know how the originals should look and how they were attached at the factory, and are suspect of any other method, such as pop rivets.
