I bought it at a similar price and I agree that it's a steal. I enjoy it at steady paces as well, it comes alive with some speed, but anything below that and the ride becomes unpleasant for me, not very responsive - I'll give it a try for workouts as well when the time comes.
Couldn't cop some Takumi Sen 9 when they were on sale, so I pulled the trigger with these, waiting for them to arrive. I hope they are as good as everyone says
In terms of a “value shoe”, they’re really solid as long as you don’t need too much stability. Between these and the Takumi, I prefer the Takumi for speed sessions, but the Rebel is no doubt a better all-around shoe.
Favourite shoe I have ever used, but durability is not so good. Will still probably by a third pair eventually as it is such a great light shoe, but currently checking out the Speed 3 in the interim. I use the 1080 X V12 for daily and used the Rebel for speed sessions and even long runs. Put 700km into V2 and 500km into V3 (430 & 310 miles).
If I were in a similar scenario, I’d probably give the Speed 3 a chance before getting a third pair of these. I do enjoy these a lot, but I find the Speed 3 much more durable and more versatile across different types of runs.
Would you say it’s a good daily trainer or someone who will use them as a casual all day sneaker (7-8) hrs on feet. I also weight 230lbs. Will these hold up or bottom out quickly?
I’d guess they’d bottom out pretty quickly with extremely frequent use, on top of using them to run on a semi-daily basis. Nothing about the foam used here screams “durable” to me, but it is comfortable and fun.
@@HobbyJoggerElite thank you for the reply. I will add these to my rotation of work shoes since I’m out in the field and on my feet for 7 hours or more a day. I have the 1080 v12 and Pegasus trail I rotate so I don’t wear any one pair out too quickly.
There have been some image leaks for the fourth version, but not sure when they’ll release. Here’s an image from Reddit: www.reddit.com/r/RunningShoeGeeks/comments/146rq21/new_balance_rebel_v4/?rdt=63264
Hi, how have you found cleaning these shoes? I just got the shoe and it's gained some mud after a run and it is impossible to clean. Did you ever successfully clean the upper and if so, how?

Keep it up!!!
Love the rebel v3 👍
Such a top-notch shoe. New Balance has been my pick for daily trainers for the past few years now.

@@HobbyJoggerElite Speed 3 has definitely peaked my interest in the Saucony line up. Really really liking this shoe alot
Would you say these are true to size, I saw some reviews saying to size up?
I would say they fit a bit more snug than most new balances. I wouldn’t be upset going a half size up

You should do a top new balance shoe: rebel,880,1080,propel,sctrainer,more,elite. They are similair but what is the best all round
I’d love to do something like that! I just need to find a way to get all the money to buy each of those shoes 😂
there is the fourth version

I never clean my shoes 👍😂
Would you recommend machine washing these shoes?
I suppose you could!
