  • In the wild west of Chinese power sports products, pops out this orange county ish 300 cc chopper, complete with stretched looks and twin under belly shocks. Worth buying? Want to strike a pose? Needs something to compliment those Thrift store bottomless chaps? Look no further!

    Honda rebel knockoff engine. I have a 2006. 250 air cooled. Been a good bike. Very fun and easy to ride. I just keep it pinned. Does about 75. Corners amazing. Get back home before anyone, and they say I can't ride with them anymore.. lol. Parts are readily available. Johnny pagnini riverside California

    The engine is a copy of the Honda Rebel CMX250. Known more commonly as the Regal Raptor. They did the air-cooled ones at first which were carbon copies of the CMX250 then later on did the water cooled models. The DD250E is the direct copy of the classic Rebel CMX. The Marauder copies were done by Lexmoto, Jinlun, and Pioneer, as well as a couple others. There's quite a few brands which do the Rebel and Marauder copies but the engines are mostly based on the CA125 or CMX250. In Asia they also do a 350cc model.
    This particular model is also known as the Regal Raptor EOS.

    Hi man , Until now, my friend has traveled 50,000 kilometers without breaking a motorcycle! I have one myself and it has not had any problems so far and I am very satisfied for the money I paid.If you take good care of it, it will be fine

    One of these popped up local to me, and while I was looking for info on it, saw where people swap a slightly larger engine into them.
    I came across a chain drive 750 shadow motor, and have found one swap of it with some info.
    Hoping I can pull it off. I think it would make a tidy chopper.

    I have a similar bike - "Daytona 350". Basically the same, but 21" front wheel, shorter fork and 320cc EFI engine
    within 10 years rode on mine 120 000 km (~74k miles). done 2 rebuilds - chinese bearrings are the first to fail, though I have even seen crankshaft snapped it two, so yeah, you never know
    perfect for the first bike, but ususally people quickly move on to more powerful bikes. I kept mine because of the looks though. loving it =)

      That's really cool. Good to hear feedback from someone who has actually ridden one. Cheers.

    Again
    Thanks
    All positive to you.

    Is there another carb I can use for this bike mine has been given me issues

    • @JVWinalberta
      @JVWinalberta  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Many of the cheaper chinese CV carbs use the same guts. They can be had new for quite cheap on amazon, ebay, etc. The last "dealer" I heard about was near Blairmore, Alberta, and was hit or miss with parts. I doubt they are still in business. With that said, maybe a good carb clean? Set the float height, etc? Any good bike mechanics near you?

    Is there any chance I could swap a xvs 1100 engine into one of these do you think it could fit and also frame would support it ?

    • @JVWinalberta
      @JVWinalberta  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It would likely have enough physical space, but it would be easier to use a chain drive engine, maybe out of a wrecked VT750 Honda shadow, around the 90's flavor. I think you would have a bit of a time, getting the XVS to work, just because of the shaft more than anything else. Then I'm not convinced either the end product would be all that great, the frame would be lacking the strength to support much more than what it came with, which was a 300cc twin. Hope that helps!

      @@JVWinalberta yes thanks a lot for your feedback I've seen people put xs 650 engines in these with no problem. sure the frame will need some additional support and strenghtening but I would love it if we could see a serious engine in one of these.

    I have one 250cc. Produced in 2011, and still going good until now. The plastic and chrome start deteriorating though, which i think its common.
    The quality of the product produced within 2013-2015 is not great as the manufacturer change the gearbox shaft and it break easily compare to the previous products.
