I have a young horse in training and I spend everyday working on his Rhythm, Suppleness & Connection. He has a lot of natural Impulsion, but his balance and strength aren’t there yet. I also spend a good deal of time preventing his drifting out over his shoulder. He is part draft, so he is super strong and the brain wheel turns slowly. Give aid, 1-1000, 2-1000, 3-1000, “oh she gave me an aid” 😂. It’s a fun challenge and he is super smart and very willing. I luv the training scale because it ressures me that I am doing the correct things even as an AA rider.
Thank you! You are so fantastic in your explanations, and have taught me so much ( i have so much more to learn!). I am starting my 4 year old undersaddle this year and I am starting him so differently then my other horses, bending and serpentines being a real prerequisite with a truly following contact. ( I think short reins and long arms while sitting back) so far its going really well. I also did a ton of ground work the past two years and i think that has really helped us as well. Anyhow truly-thank you :)

Loved everything in this video - thank you! I always love when you show the camera from the rider's view - that is SO helpful! ❤
Glad it was helpful!
