I actually went downtown today and walked around quite a bit today and was surprised.
It looks way better than it did a couple of years ago

how can it get worse? With the addition of 8 more clowns posing as city commissioners beginning next year will make measure 110, drug legalization, appear as child's play comparatively, all bought on by the hardcore Portland leftist voters...

Neither. The whole area is just being gentrified for more wealthy people. It took two decades for SF to do what Portland has done in three years. Pricing out the middle class.

I go to NW Portland for medical treatment at Good Samaritan. Bypass downtown by using 405 and turning off at Everette. The number of people camped along the freeway and on the off streets is staggering. I don't understand where the millions of dollars which is suppose to be used to end homelessness is going?

The fools in charge have no idea what to do or they would have done something by now. We all know where 'downtown' is. The random violence is getting worse. There is no safe place to park and leave your vehicle. Events and shows that end after dark are getting too dangerous to attend. I trust my instincts and stay away.

When the facts belie the narrative. Change the definition. That is the progressive way. Only one ideology and party to blame for the decay, crime, violence, and chaos you live with today. And the voters that keep reelecting it, expecting change. That is the definition of insanity.
