This is amazing, thank you. I was wondering, is is possible to make such a shape, for which the user can change the parameters interactively with the use of a slider for example? Or would you need some different program for that?
I've only seen empties used twice before. It seems their primary function is a reference point. Is that correct or is there another use for them? And one more question - does an empty have all of the properties of any object - I know it has coords, rotation, etc, but does it have the ability to take on materials even though you couldn't see them? I suppose I'm wondering if an empty's material can also be used as a referent for something I am unaware of. Great tutorial and thanks for the time.
I'm doing something wrong, or something changed in 2.81. When I increase the count, the rings go down in increasing size, instead of up and getting smaller. I rewatched this a bazillion times, paused it - I don't see anything different in the dialog boxes. Any suggestions? (other than deleting Blender and taking up a trade) :-P
Blender tutorials need a transcript, with what shortcut keys are being used. Otherwise it takes hours of replaying 5 second clips to duplicate was is being performed onscreen. I won't downthumb this video. But I definitely won't upthumb this or just about any other Blender tutorial.
Awesome tutorial! Short and on point.

HELP ME!
When I use array modifier it goes downwards instead of upwards!
how do I fix this?
I can't find any of these tutorials on your channel.
Progressive array is not working with other shapes except for the torus , with other shapes output is just disaster.

You have to apply the modifier and then add another one. This will create the same effect
