    I think Taylor not falling into the success traps is that she said it herself that she watched VH1’s Behind the music. She knew early on what to avoid. But most importantly is the fact that she was never the “bread winner” in the family and that she’s always had their support. She was given the freedom to be who and what she wanted to be. People expected her to fail and hated when she didn’t.

    Bad Blood for the public is loved because of the lyrics...and since you need to match the lyrics with the melody, she does this expertly...it really puts these liars & cheaters that we all know into their place....that song addresses all those feelings. And lets face it, Taylor deals with the crooks all day long and navigates around these people to move her career. I think it takes a lot of guts to address this so openly. She never got a Grammy for Reputation, and it shows that some higher ups with some pull, didn't appreciate her pointing fingers, but she did it anyway, and we respect her for that...because the Music industry is a cesspool and desparately needed some cleaning up. Even needs more today if you ask me.

    Taylor is a light and her music resonates so much with me, even being 15 years her senior. My 50th birthday present this year is actually going to see Taylor next week in Vancouver 🥹🫶! I’m so excited, but also a little sad that this tour will be over. It has been so epic. I couldn’t miss it. My MIL equated it to her seeing the Beatles in Toronto just before they toured the US the first time. My sister said seeing the Eras tour would “convert” me 😂. I told her there was no conversion necessary, as I was already sold on her absolute genius as a songwriter and performer. My husband and son don’t care for her, my daughter is ambivalent. Sigh. I’m glad to go see her with a bestie. We love our girls trips and they have always been centered around Broadway or concerts (we saw Kelly and Maroon 5 in Vegas last year - we just love good music). But Taylor is truly something special 🥰. I was always a fan, but not really a Swiftie, until Folklore. I watched the Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions and Miss Americana over Covid and that was it! She’s amazing!

    I also think Taylor's parents must have some pretty good musical talent themselves. Especially her mother, as her mother was the daughter of a singer. Because I think they are probably instrumental (no pun intended lol) in helping her pick her songs that should be on the album. I think they are instrumental in helping her figure out which song themes work, maybe what to add to a song, which lyrics are no good, etc. They must give some really good advice. And to do that so well, they need some musical talent themselves.

    • @saratemp790
      @saratemp790 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@davisfinney7526 I'm not saying they're technically musically talented. I guess, let me rephrase, what I'm saying is, that I feel they must have very good music sensibility. That is the kind of musical talent they probably have. Especially the mother. I dabble in a little songwriting myself. And when you write songs, it is really hard to choose among them, and figure out which ones are the good ones and which ones aren't. You kind of need an outside perspective for that. So I feel Taylor has somebody close to her, who was really good at advising her on that. And I believe it's probably her parents, since they have been with her since the beginning. And clearly they have very good music sensibility, and can figure out which songs are the ones that should make it on the album.

      @saratemp790 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@yatiwahab9758 okay good points, but my point was that the parents were good at picking out her good songs, out of all the songs she wrote. They had a good sense of what would work on the album. I mean ultimately, Taylor, plus her parents, had the final decision of how the album turned out. So I'm sure they were also involved in the process. Edit- especially when she was younger I would think. And then since her parents helped her out so much, and were so good at it when she was younger, I'm sure Taylor still includes them in the process, even now that she's an adult. Because she trusts them.

    How is this person documenting Taylor Swift’s career for Rolling Stone without the knowledge of Kelly Clarkson’s role in the Taylor’s Version project. It’s extremely well documented, Taylor sends a huge bouquet of flowers to Kelly when every TV drops.
    Bad Blood might be his least favourite single but is he aware that almost every track on 1989 was eventually given the single treatment and by the end even Bad Blood and Wildest Dreams which were filler tracks ended up getting videos and charting. The Max Martin and Shellback contribution to Bad Blood as producers is also a factor as Martin contractually has a say in which tracks he produces get promoted as singles and BB was one of them, near the end of the album cycle.
    I was very interested in this book but now I am concerned it may omit some key points.
