In this video, I go over and explain all the benefits of cross pollinating a dragon fruit variety with another variety. I also share the experiment I did with my Condor dragon fruit and provide insight as to why it is indeed self-fertile and can take its own pollen, but it usually produces smaller fruit. I highly recommend cross pollinating dragon fruits to have potential for the best fruits possible.

The winters here are too cold for df.
I do not have a greenhouse.
My strategy is to take the pot with it outside for the hot days and keep it indoors for the cold.

I do not. Just keep track of ones that don't turn out good so you can eliminate the options

That means it was not pollinated. Did you hand pollinate?

Hello Richard, I grow dragon fruit in pots at home and I heard that dragon fruit is sensitive to air flow. How many hours a day should it be exposed to air flow and can it perform photosynthesis with the light I use daily? I have a separate question. Can we get the same result if we pollinate the same type of pollen with different flowers?
Does cross pollination increase the size of Sugar Dragon or Pink Panther very much?

Hey Richard, how many branches should be there on one plant. And how many buds should be there on one branch for good flavors??
I usually have up to 4 main branches. As far as number of buds, there's no set numbers. Good flavors will depend on the varieties and also weather and nutrients

How do you get fruits all year long ? Any advice
I don’t get fruits all year. Some of these recent videos were shot a few months back. If you’re in tropical weather, it’s a bit easier to have year round

There’s really no one answer to that. You will just have to experiment to see which produces best for you
