The long exposure to the warp may have caused him to become a Werewolf-like daemon just like Corax has become a like a Shadow daemon kind of entity and they're just wrecking traitors there
I would prefer him to become more like Odin as he was once more like Thor. Now has knowledge of the warp to help him counter Magnus maybe heavy warp resistance. We don't need any more wolf shit. Give us more of the Norse side. His long years of experience now having give him more wisdom and experience
The poetic nature of a one-eyed Odin-esque psyker Russ, who broke his one-eyed psyker brother’s back, to return is too awesome. I want Wolf KinG ODIN Russ.
Corax was hunting down his brothers, Russ was sent to protect the Imperium from something else. Russ needed his best warriors, his own wolf guard for this fight. He's likely keeping the bulk of chaos at bay

I wonder…. Perhaps chaos doesn’t just assault ships of the Imperium to gain more followers or feed of their misery and soul. Maybe this is like a scooby doo mystery where the chaos gods keep people from exploring the immaterium unmolested because there are secrets that even the gods of chaos can’t wield or utilize.
Ah Brother another Great Work, May Emperor Bless you For This ,I think,That He is Alive, But Where He is?, Well We Shall Found I Believe Wery Soon 😎 ! .
Russ received a vision from GW that he will need to return to invigorate 40k fluff that had been stale for many years. Time to bring back both loyal and daemon Primarchs and get the battle going proper.
I always had a vision for how they should advance the story, not even end it, just get the primarchs on some quests together, finally paying off all those years of character development and subplot in HH. I don't want to delve into it, but it involves Russ, Roboute, the Khan, Dorn and Vulkan.
@@em4rtzz The Lion stands apart, always. Only after the conclusion of this unsaid quest would he, and any remaining sons of the Emperor show their faces. Corax would not show his face until the very end of the quest. Honestly, minus this last addition, this unsaid quest is hopefully what GW has in mind, with any variation of the aforementioned.
Russ, as Magnus knows, is in The Eye of Terror killing off greater demons to stem some of the tide and helping his father, otherwise it would be much much worse for The Imperium...and Magnus can’t or won’t stop him. He knew what was coming and he knew his duty.
I know GW is taking their time with releasing these Primarches but it would be pretty awesome if they got to it soon. This year seems like a good time of them.
Just found the channel recently and I love it. Russ is my favorite. Here is a thought. This vision. A way to make amends of sort. Do you think the emperor could have sent him to get two more sons to tip the scale in the favor if the imperium. Two that have not been spoken of for a long time and two going to get them and the legion they have must be so secretive that only Russ can know his mission. What do you think of him going to get back the two lost primearchs? Hope you still check if you get a comment. Would love to hear an answer.
The Space Wolves are far and away my favorite chapter. Ragnar Blackmane's books were the first I ever read and he's one of my most loved characters in all of 40k besides Gaunt's Ghosts. I run the sons of Russ on the tabletop. Between the latest lore and current state of the tabletop game, the Imperium really needs more Primarch's to come back. Robbie G and the primaris marines can't hold it down forever. Especially now that the traitor Primarchs are gathering. There have been many Great Hunts since Russ disappeared into the Eye of Terror. On the 2nd Great Hunt, they recovered The Armor of Russ. Magnus knows where Russ is and I have no idea if the Wolves are aware of this. Maybe finding Magnus means finding Russ? As a Space Wolves fan, I really want to see him come back. Especially on the tabletop. But until the Wolf time is upon us brothers, I'll take any loyalist Primarch return as a win. It's time for the Lion to wake up. Time for Corvus Corax to return to the Raven Guard. Time for the Salamnders to find all 9 artifacts of Vulkan. Time for the Great Khan to return from his Eldar chase. It's time brothers. It is time.
I LOVE seeing new content from you dude! You’ve quickly become my favorite 40k channel because you read passages and cite things while also editorializing. Keep it up!
Leman Russ has many fans who likes to point his numerous qualities, but I think they too often forget one of them, wisdom. Yes, Leman Russ went to the Eye of Terror to save one of his brother. And that brother is Magnus the Red.
It's been mentioned Russ went looking for the Tree of Life,I suggest you get your hands on Prospero Burns it's the Space Wolves view on the conflict also there's a normal human in there legion the way Cyrene is to the Word Bearers and Lemwell to the Thousand Sons good stuff can't give more but the audiobook was a beer in the dessert
There are a lot of things we could be vital to Big E, namely ancient technology to fix the Webway Portal in the Imperial Palace and the Golden Throne. Another option is freeing Isha, in order have her heal Big E. Then again hard to say for certain, after all it might have been a way to shelf the Primarchs
Dark Imperium and Dark Imperium: Plague Wars give great insight into Guilliman since his return to 40k. If it’s more 30k era, then The Unremembered Empire gives some good insight to him with his brother Lion El’Jonson
I think he's killing his way through Nurgals garden to Isha , and pissing on all the trees along the way. Make sence since he's looking for the tree of life.
The Space Wolves having the Feast of the Emperor's Ascension "once a year" would make it 394 years since the Emperor fought Horus when Russ departed. A Fenrisian year, a great year, is 2 standard terran years.
He has taken some of his oldest warriors and children, leaving some left to guide his Legion, and has gone on a pillaging spree in the Warp and has personally fought Khorne’s Champion Daemons and has come out on top.
Russ will always be the Emperors greatest son. I want Russ to return more than any other but my cynical side says that because he is probably the most popular and will probably generate the most income then he will be the last primarch to return.
Honestly, I always thought another reason he had fell with Grief after witnessing the Golden Throne. I think most of it was him feeling guilty and not listening to his brothers Dorn and Sanguinius. If Russ and his Legion stayed its possible they could've held the invasion back. But I love his character Arc now, and that is to be the Enforcer and protector of The Imperium and the Emperor.
Whenever you Say Chaos doesn't have a chance, I always think about all the times my buddy's Chaos army has decimated my army in the table top. I think they might still have a chance. lol
Having fully succumbed to the canus helix, Russ now resides in the kennel of chaos, deep within Nurgle's garden, being kept right next to the elder goddess Issha.
Just out of curiosity will you be divirting away from the spacemarines / primarcs in the future? Would love to hear you talk about other important moments for the other races in 40k . Keep up the good work
I would love to see Russ return with new great company's bringing the legion back to full strength and also discovering not a cure but I means to transform the wulfen into an cohesive fighting force
the wolf was sent into the warp to do a task only he could accomplish as his father knew how loyal he is. Constantine Valdor is an enigma because if he also left to go on a mission he forgot to take his wargear so I think when the emperor was installed on the throne he retired out of sorrow of failing his lord. Once the Primarchs start to return I suspect Constantine will return to serve yet again.
Magnus says in war of the fang he knows where rue is and is keeping him busy.... have you read this book? It was a addition to battle of the fang from the battles series.
I know there is the popular theory of Leman seeking the “tree of life” in the Eye of Terror. What if the tree happens to be the goddess Isha and Russ steals her from Nurgle’s garden and she is able to restore the Emperor body and soul in return for her freedom. Sounds like some a good end times idea
@@wolflordrho Space Wolves Omnibus page 193-194. When Ragnar is learning the history of the Imperium. "He learned of Russ's disappearance on his great quest to find the seeds of the tree of life which would cure his Emperor." This is not popular theory. It is what the Space Wolves teach. Interestingly, in Norse mythology, Odin hung himself on the Tree of Life after stabbing himself with a SPEAR to gain the power to control destiny.
Man I’ve had a theory on sangarius’s return for a while now that involves a cloned body and a strike team retrieving his soul. He’d be my favorite to return. He’s probably the best one to do so aswell as he’s the most powerful pysker who hasn’t fallen to Chaos of the primarchs. His foresight would be a great gift to the Imperium as a whole
Primarchs are essentially ageless, while not immortal they don't age physically. So hoping for a Odin makes no sense, they are basically always in their prime. It's not a young man old man thing.
I think this talk of the Tree of Life is something to do with him looking for Isha. I'd love to hear that Russ was the one responsible for burning Nurgle's Garden and that Magnus and others believed Russ trapped in the Garden when realistically, he had been battling his way through it to try and find the Tree of Life. Maybe he's going full Odin and hanging himself from it to gain wisdom or some such - something that may have been misinterpreted as being kept captive. . Speaking of Odin-Russ, I don't actually think people who don't want an "Old Man Odin" version are thinking it though properly. Remember, Odin even in Norse Myth was not old in a frail sense. He had white hair and a long beard to denote his age but physically he was in his prime until the very end of Ragnarok - largely thanks to he Apples of Idunn but still. I would imagine that Russ, even in his "old man" version, would simply be a Russ who's hair might have turned white and who might now have a beard, but is in no way frail or withered. Being the same Warrior God-King of Wolves he always was, only now wiser and possibly even more powerful with his enlightenment. Maybe he's learned to harness more if his innate warp power or something. In any case, that version of Russ I'd be super keen to see.
I really haven’t read anything substantial enough to know the “why and where” he went to the warp. Honestly I think he could not simply hang back watch the Emperor comatose in his living tomb, and not try to do something about it, so naturally I strongly believe he went to the warp to find his father , and perhaps find a way to bring him back. Also there is the big mystery of the wolfen that after a long time living in the warp, they were able to return, the other wolves don’t trust or think much of them and are keeping them at a long distance, the wolfen must know something about Russ
Yeah he is actually in the warp and made a team up with the Inquisitors at the battle of the Gate of Khaine. Luckily as they are about to lose the fight the Star Child manage to possess Fyodor and saved the day. 😅
As badass as Russ is, he *really* messed up during the heresy. He pushed magnus over the edge (because he thought his world turned traitor), then he spared horus, then he was absent during the siege and nearly lost his legion. His mistakes did more damage than some of the actual traitors did. I would imagine if he returns he's going to be a lot more thoughtful and reflective than he was. He has a LOT to make up for.
I hope he is closing Terra's warpportal on the other side, can't think of much else that is important enough to take Leman Russ out of the Imperium's battles for on a direct request from Emps.
He’s probably Wolfing around in his Wolfship with his Wolffriends in the Wolfspace, preparing to Wolf with his Wolves in the Wolftime.

Yanno if you describe some dark eldar sex slave you cud say lyk 'by The Emperors hairy beanbag! It looks like somebody went #50shadesofFulgrim on this poor bastard' 😂😂😂 hehe anyway keep up the amazing work 🤘🤘🤘
My favorite Primarch! For RUSS FOR THE ALLFATHER!
Im shocked this wasnt first! BIG LOVE, WOLF LORD! on to 15k!
Much love, Skjald.
This is the only wh40k "lore channel" i can watch without falling asleep from boredom due to "monotone robotic warhammer youtuber voice".
This and Archwarhammer.
Here have a sub.
Always enjoy listening to a wolf Lord video. Your voice reminds me of Andy McNab. The Black Library should use you in there audiobooks! Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the support!
Great Storytelling.
I share your love for the fierce Wolfking, and recommend the Audiodrama "Parting oft the ways" here you can listen to Russes own words.
And there I was left with the impression of deceit and not a vision by the emperor.
Keep up the good work
For the allfather
Legend has it he also found the House Of Starks proclaiming "Winter is coming"
Hey, bit late, been binging ur channel, thank you so much for these, some of the books i rly been lookiny for someone to bounce ideas off and analyze the books when i cant figure a part out, and here u are. Like minded and explaining parts i couldnt understand ( Ra's situation when the emporer stabbed him mostly) thank u
thank you for supporting the channel :)
Love ur content amigo keep up the great work !! (:
Thank you!
Rho talks about any other primarch: (calm) hey all wolf lord rho here
Talks about RUSS: HEYYYYYY ALLLL WE TALKING ABOUT MY FUCKIN WOLF BOI
😂
@@drlca6601 what about he LION!!!?
@@em4rtzz The Lion stands apart, always. Only after the conclusion of this unsaid quest would he, and any remaining sons of the Emperor show their faces. Corax would not show his face until the very end of the quest. Honestly, minus this last addition, this unsaid quest is hopefully what GW has in mind, with any variation of the aforementioned.
A Chaos enhanced Horus Lupercal vs Leman Russ........? Did it just get considerably colder???
Yes.
Yes and the fight is very interesting and not what most of the 40k community thought it would be when it was first announced.
Admiral Tharn’s first novel in audio was amazing. I will take your advice.
Loved it
RIGHT HERE, JARL!!!
I'm just picturing three primarchs and valdor just popping out of the tear somewhere together.
Just this 4 man squad showing up to wreck chaos.
He who hesitates...dooms all of mankind to slow dissolution.
Who would have thought that the greatest mistake of Leman Russ was compassion?
he wanted his big brother back.
He also made the decision not to kill angron out of some, misguided pity? Lots of info on this in the book "Betrayer"
Well, humanity was already fucked from the moment Magny Magic destroyed the webway anyway.
You have to Love your family, Jarls.
Oh Russ fucked up by hesitating but Humanity was doomed longer before Russ' balls up.
Keep it up!
Thanks for the support!
Russ is returning for the ultimate Boogaloo
I like to think he was sent to find and redeem ol one eye, as he was the one who damned him.
Leman Russ has many fans who likes to point his numerous qualities, but I think they too often forget one of them, wisdom.
Yes, Leman Russ went to the Eye of Terror to save one of his brother.
And that brother is Magnus the Red.
Good episode
Leman Russ parodies the Simpsons.
God (Emperor), if you do not want me to eat those cookies please send me a sign.
He's tearin it up with Drago, pullin pranks
In the audio book parting of the ways. It tells the part of leman russ leaving for the eye of terror from bjorn the fellhanded's prespective.
I like Leman Russ as much as the next guy, but what novels would you recommend if I wanted to learn more about Roboute' Guilliman?
Dark Imperium and Dark Imperium: Plague Wars give great insight into Guilliman since his return to 40k. If it’s more 30k era, then The Unremembered Empire gives some good insight to him with his brother Lion El’Jonson
@@wolflordrho Cool. Thanks. I'll have to check those out.😁
I think he's killing his way through Nurgals garden to Isha , and pissing on all the trees along the way. Make sence since he's looking for the tree of life.
Isha will be all too happy to get out
The Space Wolves having the Feast of the Emperor's Ascension "once a year" would make it 394 years since the Emperor fought Horus when Russ departed. A Fenrisian year, a great year, is 2 standard terran years.
aye young bloods go listen to this wan it was sweet
He has taken some of his oldest warriors and children, leaving some left to guide his Legion, and has gone on a pillaging spree in the Warp and has personally fought Khorne’s Champion Daemons and has come out on top.
Russ will always be the Emperors greatest son. I want Russ to return more than any other but my cynical side says that because he is probably the most popular and will probably generate the most income then he will be the last primarch to return.
The last!?
Honestly, I always thought another reason he had fell with Grief after witnessing the Golden Throne. I think most of it was him feeling guilty and not listening to his brothers Dorn and Sanguinius. If Russ and his Legion stayed its possible they could've held the invasion back. But I love his character Arc now, and that is to be the Enforcer and protector of The Imperium and the Emperor.
Well he needs to get here quickly my armor, chaingun, and frost claws are getting covered in dust..
Check out the audiobook First Lord of the Imperium. MAJOR plot twist. Love to hear your reaction.
I’ll check that out!
Ro what is the song you use for your videos?i need it for ASMR purposes
Just out of curiosity will you be divirting away from the spacemarines / primarcs in the future? Would love to hear you talk about other important moments for the other races in 40k . Keep up the good work
hahaha watching all his vids--- Russ was sent to the Eye to rescue DORN!!! spoliersssssssssssssssss hahaha
Intriguing idea 🤔
@@wolflordrho Space Wolves Omnibus page 193-194. When Ragnar is learning the history of the Imperium. "He learned of Russ's disappearance on his great quest to find the
seeds of the tree of life which would cure his Emperor." This is not popular theory.
Is Leman Russ still alive? Boi, he gutted a Chaos enhanced HORUS LUPERCAL. Mah Boi ain't dead!!!!
So far the lore points to him being in the Eye of Terra looking for something. What that is no one knows.
God I'd love to see a pax nova version of warhammer 40k or a stellaris version mixed with DoW winter assault :D
Primarchs are essentially ageless, while not immortal they don't age physically. So hoping for a Odin makes no sense, they are basically always in their prime. It's not a young man old man thing.
I am recent to WH40k
Did games workshop tease his Return?
Dude what is that background music? Its perfect for setting the scene
My boy Russ is storming Nurgles garden and stealing Granpapa's wifu to heal the Emperor and Fenris.
I know but I won't tell you lel
Weird, I could swear your channel would have 100k subs by now!
A long way to go for that, but I appreciate the support I have 😊
I really haven’t read anything substantial enough to know the “why and where” he went to the warp.
I do not agree that Bjorn would misquote or allow his primarchs words to become twisted over time.
In 2nd edition, I remember a story that Russ was trapped in the Black Library. He was sent to Protect it from Magnus.
I need to know more about this!
