Man!!! that is looking super sweet!!! I can't wait to get started on mine. Got to beat this health problem first and so far so good. Love your work on the truck. Mike
Obviously, you need to expect to have to put filler on a brand new body panel when it comes in...Lol! Anyone would think all it would need was sand & paint, but they can get banged around in shipping...I'm ordering my first, & largest shipment of patch panels next month...I'm rewatching the channel now, but as soon as I get my bottle of shielding gas for my welder, I'll be binge watching this over & over to make sure I follow exactly what he's doing so I can get, hopefully, similar results...I'm excited to be on sheet metal finally...paint is my ultimate favorite, but you gotta get that prep done right, or you'll end up wasting a lot of expensive paint...if my results look only half as good as this build, I'll be ecstatic...🖖🏿😎👍🏿
WOW seriously no previous bodywork prior to this beautiful frame off restoration . That's amazing that you were able to pull this off at this outstanding showroom level . You truly have the eye for detail . These truck videos definitely show that you are a perfectionist : )
Came across your videos tonight as I get ready to start a resto of my own... really appreciate all your effort to post video as you go.. Learning a lot from ya and eager to see everything come together for ya. Really nice work. Turning into one beautiful truck. Thanks again!
That is one fine looking truck ... can't wait to see it done .... I hope you show it off at some car shows ... I think it will turn some heads ... Fine job ... I wish it were mine !
Nice truck sir im 14 and about to start working on mine! I just wanted to say that you have done a very good job and that i give you props for your meticulousness... Any reply with tips would be great, please and thank you! Good job! And god bless!
Great job Gibson63. You are doing top notch work and that is already one sweet truck even without a hood! Your vids have inspired me to get back into car restoration. Question for you: if you had it to do over, would you do anything differently to save time? Looks like you have worked on it for 4 years and I wonder what you would say was the most time consuming part of the project?
yes build a bigger garage and construction work picked up just when I started this project the bodywork itself is the most time consuming sanding, priming looking for inperfecting and then sanding and prime again
Hank 3! Always the best tunes when working. Quick question on your stud welder are you using a extension cord? I can’t get the larger studs to weld but only the thinner ones?
You're doing magnificent work on that truck bro...I'm wondering what your daily grind is..If it's not paint and body then you have a gift buddy...Excellent work mate.
You should look into doing the tailgate like the new trucks, So that the chain is not there and the locking in the tailgate part also. Makes for a cleaner look,I know its your project and its going to be done the way you want it ,But look for some videos and think about this before its done and painted, Anyways this project it looking great,Keep up the hard work man.
How many years do you have as a bodyman ? I am so jealous ( in a good way : ) not only of your truck but your skills to be able to do a frame up restoration . There are days I would love to leave my job to do this kind of work . But of coarse that would be many years of getting a trade doing this type of work .
I never had any experience in bodyword until I started this truck just learning as I went I've tore down a few cars before but never done bodywork or paint
Man that truck is looking beautiful! Wow! You've done a super job. Hope I can make mine come out somewhat as nice. lol Keep it up and looking forward to more videos. I was wondering...all yer rubbers like hood bumpers...cab support rubbers and such and your new bolts...did you get those from LMC or Classic Parts of America or some place? TJ
All the rubber came from classic parts except for the doors and windshield I orderd from precision,I picked up some stainless steel bolts at the hardware store
Looking fantastic! That red really pops in the sunlight. Hard work is definitely paying off. Keep it up.
I’ve learned so much from this gentleman I’m ready to start my project Thanks again for sharing your knowledge much appreciated
