  • This video shows step-by-step how to create an industrial look notebook cover using recycled items and metal foil tapes. Copper and silver foil tape is used in this tutorial; however, only one color of the foil tape will also work with this project. Lastly, this video shows how to add faux patina to the foil tape.

I'm glad to see you found value in this video; enjoy turning all your "runaway ideas" into reality. Linda, you can always send an email (contact through my website) or ask in the comments if there is a particular topic/video you would like to see. It might be a bit of a wait, but all requests are going onto my list of videos to do. 😊

@@EsmericArtMixedMediaPewter Hi now your asking lol, would love to see aluminium drinks cans being used for metal embossing. there are some basic videos out there but not enough for such a great free resource There is such an abundance of these little beauties and so many of them are discarded. l would love to see what a talented embosser like yourself would of make of them😍

@@jarnai1, challenge excepted - first, I will have to start drinking pop to get some of the cans🤣🤣. Let me see what I can come up with for a future video.

@@EsmericArtMixedMediaPewter 👍 Forget the pop Esme, have a beer instead it makes it so much more enjoyable 🤣 and the cans are bigger too.

@@jarnai1 🤣, thank you for the can tip. I'm a red wine girl, but seeing that it is getting summer on my side of the world, I might try a beer on a hot day - what we won't do for art and craft 🤣

Thanks for watching the video, and glad to see you like it. My book is almost full, and it is time to "cover" the next cover. 😊

Where do I buy the wide copper tape? Thank you! 🐢

I have two rolls of copper tape and can't remember where I bought them. When I see things and think I can use them, I usually buy them, and sometimes I only start using them years later ~ copper tape is one of those "supply collection items." 😉

I am concerned about the batteries. Are they lithium?

Thanks for your concern Karen; having a background in chemistry, we always soak our lithium batteries in salt water for a couple of days, even before recycling. In hindsight, I should have mentioned that in the video😊
