    insanity is probably my favorite freestyle moves, transitioning into it from a grapevine or barrel roll just looks insanely cool

      Yah we’ve been m.i.a for a few months but we’ll be going more often and filming more videos soon. Sorry for not posting, we’ll be back on it soon!

    Idk if ur familiar with the names of these freestyle moves but this looks very much like the Insanity but less exaggerated. It's just combining the Nelson at 2:20 then you do a double Nelson that becomes the Insanity, very known move in inline rollerblading. I like this move a lot and it looks so cool when it's done effortlessly and smoothly ❤
    Edit: I love the way of how you guys transition from the grapevine to the shuffle/Insanity, it looks hella smooth from a viewer's perspective.

      Thank you for clarifying! You’re right, where we’re from we know it as shuffle but a lot of places do call it insanity. We never tried inline rollerblading, maybe we should try that next. Thank you!

    Great video thanks man. Almost have the grapevine. Can't wait to learn this. Your tutorials are the best I've found on TH-cam. Also a friend asked me can you do these moves on figure skates? BTW your freestyle videos are sick. I would be invisible lol.

      Oh that’s awesome! Thank you for your support. Yes you are able to do it on figure skates, you might need to mind the toe pick but other than that it’s not that different than hockey skates.
      Nah man I’m sure you look cool freestyle skating, anyways good luck learning new tricks and let us know if you want more tutorials tips or montages.

    I think Hockey players call this movement as "walk on the blue line".

    this is so slick dude! im going to start learning this smooth stuff. i do workout stuff like backwards around circles on one foot. inside and outside edge.

    • @kalaikuia
      @kalaikuia  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks bro! I appreciate it. That’s awesome man. Mastering the inside and outside edges is important for freestyle skating. Good luck!

  • @samfromuk
    @samfromuk ปีที่แล้ว

    You make it look very easy which means you have mastery over the movement. I can single leg slalom forwards and backwards either either foot no problem around the rink! But I can't do this move yet! Thanks for the tips and I will try this evening at my local rink. Also it appears everything and position is on an outside edge... is that correct?

    • @kalaikuia
      @kalaikuia  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Correct, I forgot to mention that majority of the move is done on the outside edge, but you'll be alternating between your inside and outside edges as you slalom, though instead of leaning heavily on my edges, my blade is closer to a neutral position. Another thing I should mention is that our blades are purposely more dull than most skaters, it allows us to slide a little more smoothly when doing tricks. I wouldn't recommend using dull blades unless you're really comfortable on your edges though. Once your body gets used to the movement, it will be a lot easier.
