This past school year my 5th grader had an amazing teacher! She was so thoughtful, led by example and inspired the kids to take ownership of themselves and their work.
Over the years I have had so many positive experiences with various teachers. I'm very appreciative of all the thought, time, effort and emotional support they offer our kids.
I agree that we need to show greater support and appreciation for all the wonderful teachers that make our cities, states and countries a better place. ❤️
So many great ideas. I think our teachers are so under appreciated. Everyone forgets that they spend alot of their own money on items for their classroom.
I had an amazing teacher who helped me push forward to get my GED when I dropped out of school. I have since talked to that teacher on the phone several times over the years. She was out FBLA leader and remembered exactly where I lived after over 25+ years. She was an incredible teacher.

Those shoes are so cute!!! So was the supply cake!! Our school specifies a specific type of pencil you cannot get at DT. Plus, I shop when the supplues are less than a dollar so DT would actually cost more.

When I use my miter shears, I rest the grip of the bottom handle on my table and press down with all my weight on the top handle. Oh those shears are a struggle! 😂❤ but I do prefer the shears than pulling out a whole miter box for a "quick" snip! 😂❤

As a nursing mama, I could use a survival treat kit! One treat after each feeding 😂❤
Pencil: cover ROLO candy with pencil-yellow paper and 1/4" pink paper at one end. Add pink circle to cover the "eraser" end of the "pencil." Add a silver Hershey Kiss to the other end as the writing tip.
The Engineer and I are sitting here watching this video and I say to him, “amazing! Who thinks of these ideas?”

Lol! Heidi, painting Miriam’s shoes brought up a funny memory! Our youngest daughter was in kindergarten at the time… she now has a kindergartner this year! She came home took off her brand new white shoes and left them outside! I left the house to take my husband to work, leaving our teens to get the younger 3 around. Our youngest met me when I returned, holding slightly blackened shoes! They were cold so she put them in the microwave to warm up! I took a sharpie and doodled all over them to disguise the burns! She loved them. I had so much fun, doodling all over them!

They are all so adorable 🥰 I love the shoes. My granddaughter is a teacher this year. And I think she might like the shoes. And also the supplies make a really cute.

I used to be an art teacher at a Christian school. I miss teaching. My most memorable moment as a teacher was when I was quitting because my husband was military and we were moving. A parent told me that my patients with their son made them want to send all their children to that school.

My daughter is an extra mile teacher. I always try to get her something for her classroom. They have gone through a lot.
One year my daughter was getting a new student in her classroom. He had been expelled from his previous school. She teaches fourth grade and had over 30 students in her classroom. She already had a couple of challenging students and approached the principal. He told her you are just a better fit for this student. By Sunday afternoon she had made a decision and phone call. She decided to visit the student and welcome him into her classroom. She went and introduced herself to him Sunday evening. All the child kept saying was, “a teacher has never been to my house before.” He was relatively good the rest of the year. It wasn’t totally smooth sailing, but it was easier simply because Charity went the extra mile as do many teachers.
What a wonderful example and thank you so much for sharing this amazing story of her willingness.

Staples had a better sale for school supplies and they were much more cheaper than Dollar Tree.
