Petition to change the name to Bateland 😅 With all seriousness I appreciate the teamwork of everyone while Nate is out doing what we all need to make the entertainment world a cleaner and better world for family friendly comedy! Great work Brian and Dusty!
Dusty, I felt so seen when you said, “I think American food is just killing us all.” You said it with so much confidence and no shame. For all of us who have strongly held opinions, but very timid words, thank you!
The laid back vibe on Nateland is the main reason I tune in to the podcast. It's an enjoyable change after all the rapid fire stuff you usually get. And--for my money--Dusty is the most courteous guy on the show and the least apt to interrupt. And the funniest! Keep on keeping on Dusty!
I was listening to the podcast and heard Dusty mention eating in Italy. He is 100% correct. I have asthma and digestive issues. I was there for two weeks and had no issues nor had an asthma attack when someone smoked around me. It was amazing. #DUSTYISRIGHT
Have to disagree with the sweats at church. We have five kiddos that we take to church each Sunday. They understand the purpose of us going is to express gratitude for the many blessings we enjoy. Dressing up is simply an expression of respect and has nothing to do with whether or not God loves us. You guys are awesome! Keep up the good work.
I would just like to say, I think the timing and delivery of Nateland is top-notch. Dusty, dont listen to us too much, you are awesome as you are, and Brian, you rock. I love that you are a good sport, and you always provide a fun structure to the podcast.
Anyone else notice a large increase in the amount of ads within TH-cam (not the stellar ad reads by the folks on the podcast) in the last few episodes?
Yep! I think I'll start listening on Spotify where I think you can still skip ads. It must be something NATELAND is doing now. AND. I. DON'T. LIKE. IT!
Mr. Slay, you're speaking my language here! Having grown up always going to church, with many of my younger years in the South (Arkansas and South Carolina), my family has always held ourselves to the standard that we wear our "Sunday best" to church. (Anyone still using that term?) To give Mr. Nickerson his due credit, I do agree that God would prefer you to be at church in your sweats than not at church at all. However, I believe than anyone with the means to do so should be making the effort to dress themselves in something that is at least a bit more formal than their normal everyday attire to show respect to the One we are there to worship.
OMG!!!!! I have been a fan since day one and I usually always comment. TODAY was my day to get read!!! I literally got a frisson and I was shaking so bad it is hard to believe!!!!! Thank you!!!!!❤❤❤❤you made my year and you even got my name correctly 🎉😂😂!!!! Love you all, watch you all, you’re like family ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I went to Texas to help after hurricane harvey. I observed that out of all the groups helping the Salvation Army was doing the most good :) - 90% of what u donate to them actually goes to good causes - you guys should have the slogan “ having the most fun “ - have listened to every pod cast, and it is great fun.
Agree. I've weathered hurricanes in 3 states and Salvation Army, Samaritan's Purse, and the Cajun Navy are the only charities so far that are worth anything in a disaster. (One test of a good charity is how many volunteers vs paid positions they have.) FEMA and American Red Cross are actually hindrances, especially in the first hours and days.
Never disappointed when Nate's gone...love him there too, but always look forward to the podcast!Bates is never gone so he keeps it going, looking forward to Aaron being back and Dusty always makes sure it's a good time!
So I’m sure this will be controversial but Dusty is holding this podcast back. Fan since episode 1. Dusty is continuously doing this conspiracy schtick about space, flat earth, weather, etc.. It never stops. Please understand when a bit has run its course and keep on the topic. Honestly, how much of this episode was devoted to this? Too much. Also: Breakfast, you are amazing
As a woman, it's tricky-- you don't want to use church as a fashion show or a time to show off your new dress or, heaven forbid, draw someone's attention off of worship/praise/prayer and onto your appearance. ... but I agree that you want to come presentable as a show of respect to our Lord & Savior and to put yourself in the mindset that worshiping as a church is very important & special. Christ is King!! 🎉--|----❤
100%. I don’t like to judge…… lol….. but when I see hoodies and flip flops at Sunday Mass…… I’m not lovin’ it. To me, it just shows me that Mass was an afterthought to you, in between BBQ and the beach. Put some effort into it for Pete’s sake!
1:30:38 I’m getting tired of the whole “celebration of life” thing too. It’s ok & healthy to be sad. Not a hopeless sadness, but acknowledging how their absence will affect us
Agreed! Imho, people are becoming increasingly uncomfortable with all strong feelings. They don't express them, they are uncomfortable when others do, and they are quick to label it a symptom of some mental health disorder. This can't be separated from the fact that many folks are on antidepressants.
The more I hear Dusty talk about God, not to mention his genuine reverence when discussing Christ and scripture, the more I respect and appreciate him. Not only is he one of the funniest comedians working, but he is clearly a born again Christian
Driving in my car, listening to the pod and Dustin says “hey Siri”. The pod shut off and Siri popped up on my phone… weird having Dustin controlling my phone.. 😂😂
As someone from the midwest, I have a hard time with Dustin nickerson. I totally get that a lot of people enjoy him, and I have nothing negative to say about them or him. I suppose he is just TOO West Coast for my taste
It was a zoom and he was on for about 10 minutes. He is working on many things for our future Entertainment. I’m really excited for the Christmas special variety show. ❤🙌
I'm old enough to remember when bread molded and milk soured. Chem trails make me nervous, but this was a very fun and y'all had good"vibes" both southern and California . Y'all is a good word , southern words are all over the country .
I agree with Dusty and Brian, Dusty is the nicest to Brian. If anyone shows their annoyance it's Aaron. We love you Brian! You'll be my favorite once you come to Boise. Maybe you can open for Dusty in February.
Dusty- "who knows what's going on in the depths of the ocean?" Narwhal- "hey we're here in the depths of the ocean" Dusty- "yall not real, go on and get outta here"
A Dusty and Dustin spinoff podcast would be amazing. I love their conflicting yet similar points of view. Make it happen. Call it "We're Having a Good time, kinda"
I was driving to Springfield MO last Thursday listening to the podcast when I heard Dusty say he was going to be performing on Sat. Great surprise and great show. Loved the off the cuff muffler jokes and this is coming from a guy who had glass packs on a 92 Ford Ranger.
Y'all did a great job creating the foundation and "vibe" for this podcast. I miss Nate, Brian (Breakfast), Aaron and Dusty when they aren't there, but the vibe carries the show. The Joe Rogan Experience wouldn't work without Joe. But Nate's vision and selection of co-hosts is a recipe for success and a high re-watchable score. But can we at east get a picture of Holly on the set?
This has been a hilarious episode. It’s probably more obvious to me as a listener that the biggest difference in the cultures of California vs The South was the actual pace of the show. Dustin wanted to speed things up while Brian and Dusty were fine with laidback. Thank y’all for making my birthday happier!
Brain Bates is such a coat tail rider... But I'm here for it! He's the heart and soul of this podcast. He's such a good sport for being the easy punching bag for the other comics. Keep it up Brian, we're all rooting for your buddies to succeed, and take you higher than you'd ever dream!
I’m not sure why Dustin has to be such a bully to Brian and the crew. It’s not really funny. Listening further in and now Dustin is bullying Nate. 🤔 Thank you Brian and Dusty for sticking up for the crew and being professional.
Dusty biting his tongue during the Vuori ad read was the funniest unintentional joke in the pod. Laughed real hard. He seemed conflicted about it, and that's a good thing. Great podcast.
I started watching this podcast when is was new and then got distracted by other things. this is the first time iv watched in a while and i love it. Dusty was my favourite guest when i first watched and glad to see he is on the team now. also found out about Dustin from DryBar comedy, a great fit and God bless Brian.
Good, I’m glad Dusty said he’s trying to listen to what people say 😅 I’m saying put your full (not clips) We’re Having A Good Time podcast on TH-cam and ensure Hannah is always sitting across the table to enhance your comedy.
Can Aaron's child hurry up & grow so he doesn't have to miss so many episodes 🥺......All jokes aside. Sending love to Aaron, his baby daughter & wife ❤
I am so sick of these constant conspiracy theories from Dusty. I know this is the real Dusty but can we please give it a rest? I fell into that “it’s just a bit” thing, but omg I’m so sick of hearing it. Breakfast is the voice of reason. Missing Aaron and Nate but so glad to have Bates holding it together.
I found your podcast about a year ago. I decided to go back to the first episode and currently through 15. I think you should do a show just on all the names Bruce Bates has been called. It had my wife and I in tears, so far we have Bratwurst, Broomstick, Bon Bon, Bean Dip, Bath Salts, and so many more. The fact that Buck Wheat Bates just goes with it is hilarious. Keep it up Bojangles. Also Worried is the best to describe Bath Water. I can only see a worried look on his face.
I agree with Dusty, we should put more effort into dressing to visit God than we do for any other event. Thanks to Dusty and Brian for speaking up on this topic.
I don’t know if it’s a good or bad thing but ever since Dusty joined the show I question everything! I appreciate when he confirms my own theories And yes, chemtrail weather modification is a thing. There is a checkerboard being setup while watching the podcast. Dump Dusty? Never!
Watching Dustin and Dusty converse is America at its finest. However, I really appreciate Dusty standing up for the insanity that is our food system. We are staying alive longer because we have technology and medicine to keep us here but is it better to be here longer half hearted?
California versus Midwest. I visited San Diego in April 2022 and it was 68 in the morning. I ran with my kids and we were in shorts and my son wore no shirt. Kids were going to school at the same time with hoodies on. My son wears shorts in to school when it’s 35 degrees F😅

You guys should get Nate Bargatze as a guest some time. I really think you guys would hit it off, he seems like a good fit for this podcast
That’s a funny comment! You should be a comedian!
He's training for his humiliation ritual
Well said!! He will be back soon, I bet. Hasn’t it been fun to watch him fly????? 💖

Big props to Brian and Dusty for keeping the lights on over at Nateland 😀

The man in the middle was rough fit for this episode he came in super hot and caffeinated or something just didn't work. Love every other episode ❤
Canadian homeschool mom here, the longer the episode goes on the more I agree with Dusty. Don’t let those negative commenters bring you down!!
