    Alien Trilogy deserves the first spot in my opinion. Incredible enemy design, environments and textures combined with outstanding audio!

    Im currently playing through Tenka. I remember playing the demo but here in the UK it was called Lifeforce: Tenka.
    The controls leave alot to be desired but i really like it and its quite an achievement when you factor in its age and limitations of its time. The music is great too.

    Codename: Tenka was definitely underrated

    My first fps on PS1 was MOH: Underground. The mapping of the controller was versatile enough to mimick the mapping of the FPS of the beginning of the PS3 era and making it somewhat enjoyable despite of the difficulty of the later mission.

    Alien trilogy and powerslave were my favourite, powerslave was actually called exhumed in my country

    Good list. I thought I'd see Alien Resurrection somewhere on here. It pretty much invented dual-stick control for FPS games, after all.

      hey, thanks for watching my video, actually there are several reasons why I didn't include the alien resurection game on the list

      @@IbanBan27 That's cool. I still saw some games I totally forgot were on PS1, such as Quake II.

      @@IbanBan27 Lol I actually own Quake II on GOG, but haven't played it yet. I've always been a fan of the first game, though.

      I will put that on the list instead of Lone Wolf, also MHU is overrated
      it has aged badly and is not enjoyable to replay it

      Agreed, I grew up playing it on the Saturn and it’s by far the best fps for that console along with duke nukem 3d

    Doom was great. Medal of Honor great. Duke Nukem for me was disappointing because parts of it the frame rate would drop so severely it would be unplayable. Made it pretty much impossible

    I hated the ps1 controls but I sure did love the games.
    I found the controls for ps1 fps were not necessarily the best but never the less still tons of fun.

    • @IbanBan27
      @IbanBan27  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yep, to be honest I don't really like FPS game controls on PS1, because it's a bit difficult to control players as well as shoot enemies that aren't assisted by auto aim, so it takes time to get used to playing it, but overall it's quite fun

    • @lurkerrekrul
      @lurkerrekrul ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IbanBan27 I've never liked FPS controls on ANY console. Even with an analog stick, I can't hit the broad side of a barn, let alone moving enemies. If I can't use a mouse to control the aim, I can't even get off the first level.
      That said, when I go back and play DOS FPS games with a mouse, auto-aim is my biggest complaint. In games like Dark Forces, I hate that I can't shoot the explosive cannister next to a group of enemies because it will auto-aim at every single enemy until they're all dead. Also, the auto-aim will prioritize weak enemies who are closer over more powerful enemies who are farther away. And it makes it nearly impossible to snipe enemies in doorways, or on ledges, since the shots try to take a literal straight line to the enemy.
      I can't wait until there's a 100% working 'source port' for Dark Forces that actually lets you aim your shots.
